What a dump! It starts off a disaster from the beginning when they force you to take out your phone and buy your ticket online because they want to mine your data. Upon being forced to register an account on their website (they don't allow you to checkout as a guest), I was unable to log in or check out and the 15 year old "cashier" at the window was completely useless.
After getting it sorted out 20 minutes later and they took my money they informed me that the lodge at the top of the gondola was rented out for a private wedding, and non accessible. The gondola itself was fun, but you can barely see out of the windows because they're scratched up and everything is covered in graffiti. After we got some barbecue at the top, we were forced to use feces covered porta potties that haven't been cleaned in ages because of the private wedding.
The only ride I chose to go on was the coaster, and after waiting in line for 45 minutes, you see so many children cutting everyone in line blatantly, and none of the employees do anything to stop it. Apparently it's OK for parents to stand in line as placeholders, and when they get close to their turn, their children and 20 of their friends are allowed to come running and cut everyone who actually waited the entire time.
I tried to do the zip line, but they refused to allow me to take my cell phone even though it was securely in my pocket. They wanted me to put it on rack of cubbies without any protection or security, and nothing to keep it from getting stolen, so I wasn't able to do the zipline.
Before leaving I was able to stop at the base lodge to use the restroom and it was also completely filthy and completely covered in human feces and urine. I don't think I've been in a bathroom so disgusting in decades. The trash bins were overflowing with paper towels, and there were zero employees there cleaning it up.
With what they charge to get into their mediocre property, they can afford to pay people to keep the place clean. The ONLY nice part about the entire day was the view from the very top of the peak. It was breathtaking, but it was not worth the price to get to it. Don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly giving two stars because the bathrooms at the top of the Gondola were clean and parking was easy. However, everything else was overpriced and not great. Two adults we spent maybe 45 minutes here - and primarily did some of the easier trails. The 'cashier' at the window was useless to explain things to us, the bathrooms at the adventure center were disgusting and had a toilet over flowing (it was 10am and they supposedly just opened). The mountain coaster was fun, but we were only able to ride it once because of all the children cutting in line and screaming they wanted on before anyone else. The soaring eagle seemed really cool, but the attendant buckled us in, and raised us up then announced she couldn't get the ride to work properly so told us to come back later. We definitely did not feel safe to just 'come back later'.
The ropes course looked kind of fun, but again children were cutting the line and running everywhere without employees saying anything or parents stopping it from happening.
None of the food places were open and when I asked Employees when they opened, no one was able to give me an answer besides 'soon'. Im not sure what that means when its lunch time at noon and nothing is open for food?
Gondola was fine. However, when I asked Employees at the adventure center where it was, I was told initially we could walk. When looking for it, I asked another employee where to even walk to, and he told us to just drive because it 'would be quite a hike to walk there'.
We didnt have kids with us, but some of the kids things they did have were not working or broken, as we overheard a number of parents complaining or telling their children they couldn't play because things were broken.
We didnt attempt the zipline as I was told I couldn't have my side pouch, and had to give it to the employees. My pouch contained medical items and personal belongings that I dont feel comfortable handing to a teenager to keep an eye on.
Overall, we would have had more fun just going on a hike or a bike ride...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went for a vacation to Carrington and this is a must see attraction for kids in any age.. great location and lots and lots of activities for kids.. We were told that this place is very famous for mountain biking, but we could not do it because it was so expensive.. It takes a lot of time to buy tickets and also finish all the formalities. I think it is worth to get the tickets in advance. .. tickets costed about $76 per person which I think was a bit expensive but some rides were fun.. everything inside was expensive food drink, and snack snacks..
The tickets also included a gondola ride, which was fun .. gondola ride alone costed about $35 and Iām not sure if it is worth that money.. we just love the mountain coaster.. initially we thought it was a slow ride, but on the way down, it was really nerve-wrecking . Kids loved it and went for another round⦠the issue is every ride takes at least 30 minutes of wait time..
zip line was good, but you had to walk along way and also climb lots of steps .. will be really difficult for old people and also people with knee pains. We actually like the eagle eye coaster again with the wait time of 20 to 25 minutes⦠kids also like the maze and rope adventure.. overall it was a good 5-6 hours of fun, but I still feel it was a bit...
