Feb1-4 2016. We arrived to what we thought was going to be a condominium when really it was a suite with a full kitchen. There was a beer bottle in the entrance of our building which was there when we left four days later. Rotten banana peels and dog poop littered our balcony and the parking lot. We were told a little take out grocer was available on site... it never once opened the entire time we were there. Neither did the restaurant. We were able to board for one day due to rain... which we understand has nothing to do with the hotel but we asked front desk what we could do instead. We were told the Grande hotel had a pool but we couldn't access it... and pretty much go get drunk at a local pub. So we decided to wander the hotel... as we thought for sure there was a pool. turns out there is a pool in the lower level for guests and a spa! We decided to go to the local pubs and bars as suggested... only to find them closed! We ended up driving into the nearest town to see a movie.. we tried to book massages and pedicures at the spa but they didn't have any openings. Yet all of the staff we talked to said that it was really slow and we only ever witnessed a maximum of five people in the pool. We decided to leave early as we are from Canada and the entertainment we were paying for can be found back home. We let front desk know and they instantly got defensive claiming they have no control over the weather or lifts or even the in house amenities such as the spa or restaurants. All we wanted was to check out a day early without being charged $250US for it. The front desk manager was down right rude with us, he wouldn't provide us with any assistance to the point where a really nice maintenance guy pulled us aside and gave us his number told us to call him if we have any troubles with the front desk clerk. The front desk clerk only cooperated after the maintenance guy joined us at the front desk and demanded he give us the number for a manager. The number he provided was wrong of course. The staff are uninformed, lacking customer service, and down right rude. We received fresh towels ONCE during our four day stay and the building up keep was disgusting. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone staying in Killington. The price is outrageous for the value and...
Read moreThe 1 star is for the close location to the ski lifts. Everything else is like a cheap motel from 2000 on a highway. Owners and condo association don’t seem to care. There is literally dog feces in lobby by the elevator (photo taken the night before we left). It was there over night and someone just ended up “cleaning” it, so you could just see a big brown smear on carpet the following morning. This place is a condo and owners rent the units at extremely overpriced prices while neglecting the most basic things like hygiene, while having the rules of a prestige club. Check in after 5, check out at 10, no exceptions. 7 hours in between is spent on…nothing. We were greeted with a strong mold or smoke odor or both in our unit. Sheets were not changed and the ones found in one of bedrooms couldn’t be confirmed to be clean. Place was falsely advertised as a 2 bedroom, while the second room has no closet, they just put this makeshift hanger for clothes. Of course the mattress is a smaller size than the bed frame. Window lock broken, paint under windows damaged due to leaks, living room ceiling damaged/flaking paint due to water damage. Sheets smelled like someone slept there the night before. All dishes were covered in dust, so was every surface under couches/table/chairs mixed with food. All other interior finishes looked 15-25 years old. Of course they didn’t give enough towels, soap, etc. There is no security and you can walk into the building from anywhere. Their surrounding property is covered in dog feces, so forget going out to that nice bench and trees out front. Obviously the rules that are posted for guests and owners aren’t enforced nor mess is cleaned up. Price of over $5000 for 4 nights for the peak season week of NYE. I would suggest renting a private home in the area for...
Read moreUnit F 8 Four notes in a one-bedroom condo in August under Covid restrictions. Very few guests. Most people are not traveling. Excellent location on the mountain.||||Condo impeccably clean. Adequately furnished but sofa bed impossible to sleep on. Sofa cushions soft or worn... had to use pillows to sit on to be comfortable. Having said that, we're in our late seventies so getting up from a soft cushuion difficult.||||. Bedroom up a steep flight of stairs... More than enough towels. Comfortable bed. Adequate supplies for dishwasher, trash for our stay. New carpet. Very clean. Nice little patio with two lounge chairs.||||Kitchen furnished with enough dishes, pots, cooking utensils. Dishwasher, stove fine. Regrigerator missing a meat drawer that slides out... it was set on a shelf. Rail in refrigerator door missing so top door storage not available. Flatware really unacceptable. Flimsy. Mismatched. Like it was purchased at a jumble batch of flatware at a tag sale. For $50 a better set could be provided.||||No staff on site. Impossible to find someone to reach. REquested a missing remote during first night stay.... they contacted us on our last night. Run by Vacasa Property Mgt. Should be a better way to communicate quickly with response.||||Did not use/see pool or health club. Other amenities were "dark" due to Covid. Restaurant closed with tarps over a large area... maybe to protect from leaks.||||Adeequate parking but you have to walk down a driveway unless your unit comes with reserved u...
