We came to this location because we used to really enjoy the previous restaurant which has since closed. We decided to give it a shot and were unfortunately disappointed. The owner and waitress were lovely and very friendly which makes it difficult to write an unfavorable review. The misses included - Vermonter Cheese Plate $14 for a few slices of mediocre supermarket style cheddar cheese, a few apple slices and dried apricots. It was served with a standard grain mustard and bread that was so stale it was hard as a rock. The buffalo chicken dip had a paltry amount of chicken and tasted like slightly spicy mayonnaise. It was served with standard tortilla chips. My pulled pork sandwich was overwhelmed by a standard BBQ sauce. All I tasted was sauce and it seemed like it was cooked in a hot pot. The potato wedges were simply awful. I recognize wanting to serve a more healthy option but these were a) not fully cooked through b) had no flavor or seasoning. My SIL tried the vegetable risotto but we all agreed the vegetables were just frozen bagged veggies you would get at the supermarket and thrown in at the last minute. I doubt it was abborio rice and again was not seasoned. My wife's broccoli and cheddar soup may have been the best dish of the night (but served lukewarm). The beer selection was very good and the waitress did a nice job of providing a lot of marshmallows and whipped cream for the kids hot chocolate. I struggle to understand how someone opens a restaurant like this and has no oversight on the food being served? There is no way you could look at that cheese plate coming out, or taste those potatoes or serve that stale bread and be happy with the results. I realize this comes across as negative but hopefully someone reads it and...
Read moreI love Vermont Craft! It is such a family run place with the owners being lifetime Killington skiers! Everyone is so friendly and they make you feel like family right when you walk in (the type of place someone might yell “Norm” when you walk in the door). My favorites are the pretzel app, the soups and the French dip. My son loves the buffalo Mac and cheese. All the beers on tap are Vermont beers and even the vodka is from the local distillery. If you are looking for some great comfort food, a charcuterie plate and a beer this is the place is for you! I highly recommend this restaurant. Jackie the bartender...
Read moreThis was our third time at Vermont Craft, and it never disappoints! Perfectly situated at the base of the mountain, it’s the ideal spot to relax after a day out. We’ve enjoyed their cocktails, craft beers, and a variety of menu items—including the chicken fingers (!!)—and everything has been absolutely delicious.
But what truly sets Vermont Craft apart is the atmosphere. Dave and Amy go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, creating a space that feels like part of the local scene. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, this is the place to be. Can’t wait for...
