From the moment we arrived, our experience at this place was completely disappointing. No one greeted us or came to assist us, leaving us waiting without knowing what to do. We eventually took one of the 15 available tables, but after settling in and taking off our coats, we were informed that all the tables were reserved. This happened at 6 pm, when the place was nearly empty except for the bar, and we knew it closed at 9. They offered to move us to the bar, which was uncomfortable and didn’t even have a place to hang our coats.

No one came to take our order at any point, so after waiting a few minutes, my husband had to go to the bar to place it himself. We asked for the menu twice, but both times it was given to other tables.

As for the drinks, the Aperol cocktail I ordered was so watered down that it had absolutely no flavor, and I found it extremely overpriced for the quality. My husband’s gin-based drink was mostly ice, with no justification for the cost.

We also ordered a portion of sweet potato fries. While the portion size was generous, the sauce was insufficient. The worst part was that the oil used to prepare them was clearly burnt and old. We didn’t even receive napkins, which reflects poor attention to detail. To make matters worse, both my husband and I ended up with food poisoning and severe stomach pain, ruining our last day of vacation.

I wouldn’t recommend this place under any circumstances. The prices are exorbitant, reminiscent of Manhattan, but the service is mediocre and the food quality unacceptable. Although the venue has potential to be spectacular, the lack of attention, poorly prepared food, and overall issues completely ruined our experience. A huge...

Came here on the early side for a quick dinner before getting on the road home but there was nothing quick about it. I realize we were there off season and before staffing up for dinner, but you would think with very few patrons it would take less than two hours. We started with a round of drinks while we looked over the menu, the mocktail "Goombay no smash" we a big hit with the kids, I had the G&T with woodland which was quite good. After placing our order, steak tips, steak special, and shrimp scampi special, it seamed like forever for the food to come out. My pasta was well presented and hot, the steaks were warm not hot, as if they had been sitting, and were all overcooked. I had finished my drink and the server asked if I would like another, I did but wanted to change it up so asked to see the menu again, no such luck the menu never materialized. We finished eating and the server eventually reappeared to clear our dishes and offer us desserts. Great can I see the list, sure returns with a menu and departs, but no desserts are listed on the menu, wait again for server to eventually reappear, inform them of lack of information and were offered two choices verbally. Place dessert order and you guessed it, wait forever for desserts to come. Finally check time, yet another long wait. Yes it was an off evening for the staff but will cut them a break and will keep an open mind about returning, good drinks, menu variety,...

We were seated quickly and with an option of the outdoor area or inside. You can only sit at the bar if you don't get food, which I thought was weird.

Drinks came out first and they were pretty good, but nothing to rave about. Food was good for the most part... Minus my flat bread. It was differently a flat bread crust with one fig sliced up, maybe a teaspoon of goat cheese and one slice of prosciutto...not impressed and still hungry after.

We asked for separate checks... Which I know is a pain sometimes from my time being a server... But it happens. The waitress gave us separate checks. My friends put his card down to pay for him and his wife. When the cards came back the waitress had forgot to run the card for his wife's food. My friends let the waitress know... Because that's the right thing to do. The waitress responded with an aggregated tone stating, next time she needs to tell her first thing when we want separate bills because it confuses her. We could have very easily walked out without paying for the food, but we are honest people told her and she was still snippy about it... rude.

I probably wouldn't go back, in...

Had a terrific time at Still on the Mountain. Got to meet Ryan, the master distiller, and learn about the varieties of bourbon, rum, gin and vodka that this up and coming distillery is producing. As a KY bourbon enthusiast, I was very impressed with both the straight bourbon and the maple bourbon. Christian was very welcoming and accommodating as a server and host. Food wise - the Cabot Cheese Fritter appetizer was superb, and the group devoured the salads, burgers, wings and truffle fries that were ordered. We even got to sample a "new bourbon blend" that may be coming to the shelves soon. Left very satisfied with a a couple of signed bottles of Killington Distillery bourbon!
