The view from here is rarely dull even in grey weather conditions. Kingston/Edmonds ferry frequently passes by a backdrop of seattle across the puget sound and the towering Mt. Ranier behind it in a magical alignment that is easily coupled with the sunrise or moonrise for a finale of visual excitement …classic puget sound.

One of our FAVORITE beaches in Kitsap County!! Here at a King tide so didn’t get to walk far today but we usually get in a great walk/adventure with the kids!! The views are always incredible and there’s almost always a Heron hanging out on a rock in the water! Not a busy/crowded beach either!

It's an amazing beach with so much life to see! If the tide is low, wade out to about your knees and you'll start seeing SO MANY live kelp crabs and a few live shore crabs. There's anemones and hermit crabs everywhere on the rocks that line the side by the ferry. There's a huge range of shells to admire, tiny sea snail shells like a quarter inch long all the way up to geoduck shells as big as your spread hand. The water is pretty clear, good for watching the wildlife or swimming without getting...

I must be in the minority because I was staying in Edmonds over the weekend and was told to check out Kingston. So I went and I saw a lot of hole-in-the-wall eating spots... parks with adults (not young adults, mind you, full-grown, 40 years too old to be there adults) and a lot of really, really terrible live music. I feel like the only thing Saltair Beach provides is an escape from Kingston while I wait for the...

I had a fantastic afternoon into sunset here just sitting on a beach log people watching; pen and journal ready to capture sudden inspirations and flashes of brilliance, chromebook open, fingers trying to keep up with my mind. Most productive writing session I've since seemingly forever, non-stop until dark, no stoppages or...
