I was super excited to give this nail salon a try. It looked cute on Instagram and nail designs they had done looked promising. I made an appointment and called to reschedule for 30 minutes later due to traffic and were accommodating which I really appreciated but then I had to wait an extra hour after I got there. No one even tried to communicate with me. I decided to get a pedicure while I waited. The First Lady kept hurting me while removing my polish. The Second Lady barely cleaned up my nails, cut them unevenly, barely gave a massage and barely exfoliated my feet. The whole thing was rushed and it definitely shouldn’t be for a $80 pedicure. That they tried to up charge me $10 for at the end.
I got a removal of a previous gel x set and Gel x nails next. The lady got did my nails, Tess went to pry an acrylic tip in between my natural nail and my fake nail to try to rush popping them off. I stopped her immediately because anyone who does nails or gets them don’t regularly knows that this is terrible for your nails.
I showed her a set I wanted to do it involved some nail art, chrome, and charms. She said she could to the set but ended up not have a lot of the charms or things that were really close. Which is fine everyone has different charms but I wish that would’ve been communicated sooner. She did my nails and didn’t want to paint them near the cuticle so they would look “cleaner” but now so of them already look outgrown. I explained to her that I’d prefer she did it the way I wanted instead and she said no we don’t do that. She kept putting on the charms off centered and when I would try to move my hand to look at the placement she would hold onto them really tight and not let go of my finger. If I’m really to move my hand don’t hold onto tighter and pull it back and it happened multiple times.
Then we get to the end of the appointment and I go to pay for my stuff and they were trying to charge me $335 for a pedicure and nails. Outrageous. On their booking site they list their prices and it absolutely didn’t add up. When I asked them to break it down for me they weren’t at first and then said they were charging $90 for the pedicure with gel polish, I picked a pedicure for $65 and gel polish is $15 extra. They took $10 off after i said something about it. But when it came to my nails it was $65 for my short gel x, $10 for gel polish, $10 for a soak off, and they were trying to charge me $155 for the designs because it took 3 hours. At least 30 minutes for that was soaking of the nails and that was not communicated at all. I thought I would be paying the prices they charge on their booking site not whatever they decided to charge. I got 2 nails with airbrush color, 12 nails with ombré, some gold accents with chrome, and 8 charms. I added it up based off the pricing and they were overcharging me by $100. I get your price is your price but don’t go against your listed pricing and have the nerve to tell me you decided to up charge me because it took longer.
And to top it all off after this horrible experience the receptionist has the nerve to comment on my not leaving the nail artist a tip. After ripping me off and having several problems. Tipping is a way of showing gratitude, I work in the service industry and run my own business. I would NEVER comment on someone not leaving a tip. Nor should it be expected. Most place outside the US don’t even have “tipping culture”. I tip people all the time but they are not entitled to it and to expect it after that service is wild.
I drove a hour to come to this place, had the drive an hour to go do some errands at a place that was closing soon so I didn’t have time to keep arguing the price. But I will definitely be back it get reimbursed for the overcharge.
I definitely suggest getting a quote before getting work done here. While I was in there two women complain about they not being transparent with pricing. Nothing as drastic at what they did to me. But still it’s obviously an issue. I hate leaving bad reviews but people deserve to be held...
Read moreI've been following La Na Nail Lounge on IG for a while now and have been wanting to try them out after seeing the good reviews, so I've been hyping them up in my mind and to my friends.
So we found a day that works for us all and made the hour and a half drive up for a little girls day pampering...
We had appointments for 3 people at 2:00pm and weren't seated at pedicure chairs until 2:20, which was inconvenient because we had plans after and this pushed everything behind. Between the three of us we did a Super Special Pedicure, Deluxe Pedicure and Regular Pedicure and I also got a gel manicure.
My pedicure wasn't great and the polish job was decent but the bottom of my feet are not soft or look like they did much to them as that's how they looked going into my pedicure, disappointing. Next, I originally wanted a Pearl blue gel color that I saw on their samples and she put the first coat on my one nail and it was translucent/grey - far from baby blue on their example nail. So I asked if she'd do another coat and she replied "if I do another coat, I charge you", to which I replied "why would I be charged for you applying a second coat on my ONE pinky nail" and she repeated her previous statement. So I settled on just solid baby blue gel polish. Throughout the manicure, she kept bending my wrist downward aggressively and telling me "relax your hand", and my hand would have been relaxed had she not kept aggressively pushing it in an unnatural and uncomfortable position. Not to mention the fact that she cut and made three different nails bleed from cutting the cuticle too deep (pictures attached). My one friend's lady cut her toe nail too short and cut cuticle, making her bleed as well. I brought this to the attention of the owner and she said all they could do is compensate 20% on the manicure portion, which is just 10% more than a new customer receives showing their promotional ad found on their website. The poor workmanship and service definitely deserved more than just 20% off their already over priced rates.
Overall, for as hyped up as La Na Nails is, for the expensive price and how much we were looking forward to coming here - we all left highly disappointed and won't be returning. The hype is more for the aesthetic of the place and not for...
Read moreThe workers are aggressive and the owner is rude. They don’t care about the customers, only how much they make. The response the owner made to this review is really unsettling. Im leaving this review for the customers. So the customers know what to expect if they choose to get their nails done here. Which I would not recommend.
Their work is sloppy for how much they charge. They have a 7 day repair policy for a reason. I went with my friend and she got a fill and a design and that got torn up and broken within a week. I also had a nail break within the week. My friend went back to get the nail fixed and she said they were shady and rude. The owners response to this review says that we did not go within the 7 day repair policy which we did. We got our nails done January 7th, my friend went back January 12th which is 5 days after and I went back on the 14th which is exactly 7 days after. That is within their 7 day repair policy. The owners response says we didn’t go within the 7 day policy which is false. Since the owner says the have cameras, they could check the dates and fact check themselves.
*my friend spent over $100 for her short nail, acrylic fill, to be treated shady and rudely. * it was $100 that she spent because she included a tip which they didn’t deserve after this experience.
When we were there for the first time they were overly packed with people. They seem like they are only there to get money out of you. Their POS says a 2.5% charge on all cards and they charge for shape, design, length, polish, using a card. I have spent less for better service.
This place was suggested to us from a coworker. Only because they looked nice online and so we tried it out. We also told her about this experience and the response the owner made and how much it cost for everything and she will not be coming here.
I truly wouldn’t recommend this nail salon. The customers should be...
