Recent spa experience at Estancia Spa.
There was one positive component in my spa experience and that was my facial. My technician was great, knowledgeable and very personable. She looked for a bolster for my legs and when she couldn’t find one she rolled towels. Although that took time away from treatment. Service was only 45 min. Estancia Spa is very run down. Photos attached of the filthy jacuzzi (sand and dirt in the bottom), mildew in the shower grout, leaves and cobwebs on the relaxation patio and the cushions are stained and filthy. Not a place that I felt calm and relaxed. They didn’t bother to ask your shoe size to fit you for the sandals. We were a party of 5 and we had to open locker doors to find a locker with the right size slippers. My locker didn’t work and after putting in all my belongings I had to move them. The changing area is a small common space with a light curtain. At one point there were 8 people (strangers) bumping rear ends trying to change. The amenities were weak. No hot water for tea, No Q-tips or cotton swabs. One of only two showers were out of service. We were a party of five and I would not recommend this spa. Very...
Read moreWe visited the River Terrace Inn for a short celebratory trip, and while the hotel appeared quaint, our experience was alarming. Upon checking in on Monday, November 4, 2024, the property was quiet, with no general public in sight - only staff.
Less than an hour after leaving the hotel for dinner, someone entered our room and stole a valuable bag. The door lock log provided by the general manager confirmed unauthorized access during our absence. From the start, the incident was mishandled, as the general manager initially reported a lesser crime. The case has since been reclassified as a burglary and remains under investigation.
This property lacks adequate security, with surveillance limited to the first floor an no measures in place to ensure guest safety for its 114 rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone prioritizing safety and security.
Also, uncooperative management. The general manager immediately filed an insurance claim and refused to answer any of my questions. I reached out to corporate and received...
Read moreWe stayed at the River Terrace Inn in Napa. So badly named. Our room did not have a view which we had requested. An inn is supposed to be a place of hospitality. We had no help with our bags either in nor out ( we are 67 & 72). We did get a tiny glass of poor wine on arrival but then found any water in our room was either 2 or five dollars per bottle. We had previously stayed at the RUI Sheraton in San Francisco where bottles of water were given freely. And to top it all from really early in the day, constant dreadful music everywhere in the hotel including our room so you had to get out or go mad. Then they wanted to charge us 28 dollars extra for stuff we hadn't used. Fortunately our paperwork showed we...
