Very quiet hotel and walking distance to a couple small cafes and Starbucks. Although the cramped parking lot was full, we didn’t hear a single other person during our stay. No slamming doors, no kids, no TVs. It was great! Third floor room kinda has a view of the lake and a long balcony that is shared by all the guests on that side. Virtual check in was easy, our key was on the front desk. WiFi code is never changed so it’s printed on the room key (a security risk especially in a tech town). The room is very spacious and bright, but had some quirks - the drawers and cabinets were missing handles, making them impossible to open. Off white carpet goes all the way to the door (usually the room’s entry area has a more durable flooring). There was an electric standing desk and perks like water, coffee, Pringles and cans of sparkling water and soda. The bed was comfortable and the Fire TV had been left logged in to a prior guest’s Netflix (thanks Katie). We were disappointed to find some hair on the shower wall. Room is generally clean but felt hastily constructed with baseboard damage, odd-fitting furniture, and stains on the carpet. Interior decor gave me flashbacks to my work trips in Shanghai and Shenzhen: the initial look of posh but limited by a budget that shows in disproportionate furnishings, a night stand with a crooked drawer, and bare walls that give your eyes some relief from the faded artwork. The grounds are interesting but not really for guests to use. The back area with the large garage does have a dog run area (but no poop bags) and the garage appears to be for storage. No walking paths but there was a rigid-looking metal patio set. Overall it’s a value option, unique and worth the stay if you temper expectations.

Booked a stay weeks in advance, human assisted, email confirmation received.

Arrived on day of to find “lost” reservation and no rooms available.

Check in person indifferent “no reservation, no rooms”.

Escalated to manager who immediately deflects responsibility suggesting

“Sometimes computers make mistakes”

and asking

“was reservation made via 3rd party Expedia, etc?”

even though presented with reservation copy clearly issued under their own email letterhead and confirmed by their own employee.

Finally, reluctantly, apologizing and admitting nothing to be done other then he could “make some calls” on our behalf.

Conincidence that the Taylor Swift concert is tonight, and many other summer marquee events(Bite of Seattle, Capital Hill Block Party, Winery outdoor concert, Mariners hosting the Blue Jays) that rooms region wide are in non supply and/or at ridiculous premium?

No mitigation or consideration for our significant inconvenience extended.

We understand mistakes happen.

This negative review might have been avoided had either checkin or managerial staff expressed a modicum of fundamental hospitality and service oriented reaction to our plight brought on by their error.

Instead, we repeatedly felt blame attributed to first ourselves, and then ‘others’ ie computers and third parties.

Had manager expressed responsibility and concern at outset, or offered consideration on a future visit, we could attribute to things just happen and accept it our turn.

Instead, this negative review made in the hopes ownership and staffing consider training and accountability for sake of future conflict deescalations and resolution.

After driving several hours to appear, and awaiting several more for an update that never came, two senior citizens are abandoning their evening’s plans/concert tickets and made the decision to begin the return hours...

First and foremost the positives; clean room and great location for ease of traveling if you’re working in the area. However, the negatives vastly outweigh any of the aforementioned benefits.

The first thing is that I did not once see an employee and had to call to check in and was simply told they left some cards at the desk. At no point in my four day stay was I offered additional towels, or basic amenities. The shower was constantly out of hot water and the minimal half moon glass door did nothing to stop water from spraying out all over the floor. Additionally there was no microwave which was perplexing as even the most disgusting motel six will have one of the these.

The most infuriating aspect of my stay is that they control your room lights through auto timers and there is nothing you can do to keep them on. When trying to work at the desk in the evening I was forced to move every five minutes to trigger the lights again, and again, which in my mind is absolutely unacceptable. Not being able to just comfortably sit and work ruined the experience completely, no matter how convenient the location was. The fact that as an adult man I didn’t have control of the room lights was nonsense, and was almost like being babied, like I suppose that I’m too stupid to turn off the lights when I’m finished. I spent far too much to be treated this way and these shortcomings ruined what could have been a nice experience. If you want my advice, spend a few more dollars and get a nicer room...
