When I saw them building this gas station, I understood why the City of Kyle put a moratorium on new gas stations. This place is like "mini Buc-ees". I affectionally call this place "Buc-ees light". There a place to get hot food and grab and go tacos and chicken sandwiches. There do have a pastry case. I was disappointed that it was not very well stocked. They had. a few baked goods all over the store like cookies and muffins, but they were picked over. They have a great drink selection. Their energy drinks are a little on the pricy side. They do carry Bucked Up, which is something I can only find at GNC or Walmart. They did not have any special deals on Energy Drinks like other stores have. They did have "mix and match" specials on drinks which were 2 for $5, which was not bad. The store is very well stored with other snacks like chips and candy. The employees are friendly. Ironically, I used one of the "self checkouts" and joked to the girl working behind the counter that I needed to use her break room since I was am employee now, ringing myself up. I did not pay too much attention to the gas prices, as they fluctuate. I have found you are better off buying gas elsewhere if you have one of those reward apps where you get cash back off every gallon you buy. I did sign up for their app where you can use coupons and they track your rewards.
I am a fan of this place. It is not as picked over as some of the other "chain" places we have here in Kyle. It is definitely...
Read moreDear CEO of TXB,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the recent changes made to The Chug Club subscription.
As a loyal subscriber, I was taken aback to receive the email notifying me of the alteration in pricing structure, shifting from $15.99 per month for unlimited drinks to $9.99 for only one drink per day. This adjustment feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, as it significantly reduces the value proposition initially promised to subscribers like myself.
While I understand that businesses may need to adapt their pricing models, the suddenness and magnitude of this change are unsettling. Moreover, the communication of these modifications appears to be inadequate. Many subscribers may not have seen the email yet and could be in for an unwelcome surprise when they realize the alterations to their subscription.
Regrettably, I have decided to cancel both of my subscriptions to The Chug Club, effective immediately. As a consumer, transparency and fairness are paramount to me, and the recent changes have left me feeling disillusioned.
I urge you to reconsider these adjustments and to prioritize clear and timely communication with your subscribers in the future. Your attention to these concerns would be greatly appreciated and could help to restore trust and confidence among your customer base.
Thank you for your...
Read moreOwner seems to constantly fire all the male employees. Weird.
When I made a comment in my previous review about buying seltzer for a tubing trip and not knowing if I could buy them that early or not and suggested posting hours, the owner said they don't post hours because they are open 24/7. Sorry, you don't sell alcohol 24/7. Posting alcohol sales hours is what I was pretty obviously referring to. Reading and interpretation skills are important.
Now the kicker. TXB just announced the change to its chug club program. Starting in April, for $10 a month, you get one drink a day. The Chug Club was $15 per month for one drink per hour. Subscription canceled now for two...
