Money & More Pawn — Local services in Kyle

I used to be very impressed with this pawnshop. It was one of my favorite places to stop to shop for deals. When it changed over to more of a "gun" store, it has gone down hill. There has been a few times in the past where I found some deals that I almost pulled the trigger on. I went in today and was looking for guitars and guitar pedals. On the wall, they had two Eart guitars, which you can find on Amazon brand new. The Eart guitar they had priced was way higher you can get else where. I even checked out some of the electronics thinking maybe I could find a deal on something and they have raised all of their prices to way higher than retail.

Lately, I have gone in and been disappointed in the things that I have found. Again if you are shopping for guns, I am sure you can find some sort of deal. If you are shopping for electronics or musical instruments. It is hit and miss. Even if you do find something, you are better off buying it elsewhere and paying retail price for it. I am sure I could have gone over and offered them 1/2 the price they were asking for that Eart guitar. They could have countered, accepted or denied my offer. I understand that a pawnshop need to stay in business and keep their lights on. You would think if they would price their items more competitively and not 10 or 20 percent over retail, they might get more movement on those items.

Be super careful when buying TVs from these people . They claim to only buy smart TVs and test them before buying to resell . I bought my niece a 50 Inch smart tv , and guess what … not a smart Tv , we couldn’t use it for 2-3 days until a roku smart device was added to it to make it work . THEN THE TVS SOUND WAS COMPLETELY STATIC . I called explained they sold me an advertised “Smart tv & the static sound” They said they wouldn’t refund because it had been past the 48 hours even though it was impossible for me to test within those 48 hours because it wasn’t a smart tv and basically a brick for those two days while we waited on the roku device . This was my nieces birthday present and as grateful as she is I don’t believe it’s right they wouldn’t refund after deceptively advertising it as a “smart tv” (plus the static sound) and to top it off they sold me it $10 under what it would have costed new at Walmart . Lesson learned , don’t try to save a couple bucks and don’t ever use this pawn shop again . As a business owner I refund customers every week , what’s right is right and these guys are just plain wrong .

Money More Pawn is hands down the only place I feel comfortable enough to pawn my items at if that's something I need to do at the time. Not only are they completely fair when it come to giving a loan but the employees who work there are awesome. My favorite person there , Hector, is extremely kind and when he speaks to us he somehow has a way of making us feel so comfortable and treats us as if he a old friend who we've known forever. He personally calls to remind us about our loan of our last day of grace is nearing. He's knowledgeable about the merchandise that's on the floor for sale and if I ask him about something and he recommends it, he's spot on. From the electronics & watches I've bought there to the customer service I receive to the fairness on loans I've been given this place is the best. It is hands down the only pawn shop I will go to. I have never had any kind of negative experience there and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for loan or to anyone looking for used items and a decent price. They wouldn't sell anything that's unreliable or even looks like it's had...
