The Last Frontier Poker Room — Attraction in La Center

Was a bit confused when my group and I arrived — on whether to wait to be seated; or to just seat myself until someone helps us out. After standing around for 5 minutes I walked up to the cash register and grabbed a few menus (restaurant was completely empty as the two workers stood there and chatted) as the server ask if I wanted to order food or not... well, obviously since I’m looking through your menu.

A 30 minuted lunch turned into an hour lunch, food was decent and the service started picking up as our service kept checking up on us and refilling our drinks, otherwise i would’ve left a single star rating. Food is way over-priced here for its quality; I spent over $40 on three lunch item meals and that’s with no soft drinks.

I don’t normally work in La Center but the Gorilla Grill would’ve been a much better option. Servers here need to step their game up and start greeting guest upon arriving so they can be seated and order their food in a timely matter since 30 minutes for lunch here is completely undoable with how long it takes one of the two servers to even notice you’ve been standing around for over 5 minutes.

Will not be back for lunch. Maybe Texas Hold Em but...

Card room only, offers multiple games - poker, blackjack, Spanish 21, etc; clean, well run; a smaller scale poker hall w/ plenty of parking; close distance to additional card rooms, restaurants, gas stations & Ilani casino is on opposite side of freeway; professional and friendly staff; well staffed security detail; dealers are most often polite, experienced, helpful, friendly and some are willing to teach the games & are really good at it; offers lower table bet minimum than the larger gambling establishments. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO PLAYERS WHO ARE NEW TO THE GAME OR TRYING TO GET BACK INTO IT Of course experienced players will enjoy coming here, but I'm willing to bet that most already know of this place.

The only challenges I've faced when visiting is a rare occurrence of the tables being full and the poorly marked road from the I5 freeway can be difficult, even very dangerous, when there is rain (multiple areas w/ water over the road causing hydroplaning), high winds & aggressive or intoxicated drivers. OVERALL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY LEVEL OF GAMBLER INTERESTED IN PLAYING CARDS. I will definitely be back soon. Make sure you drive safe, have fun...

This place used to be the spot for the locals to get breakfast. We used to come once a week. We haven't gone in for awhile sence times have changed and was very disappointed in our experience.... The waitress didn't get a single order correct after waiting forever for our food with a baby and the restrant was pretty empty. Then proceeded to tell us it was our falt and that we answered questions wrong that she never asked. Half our table never got drinks. I never got the right order but I got something. I also noticed the same thing happening at other tables. She kept bringing my mother in law toast and gravy after several times of her telling telling our waitress she was gluten free.
