I'm not a huge fan of Pops, but I stepped in to see what else they have. It's 95% Pops.
I'm not going to go into a Pop store, see Pops, and leave a bad review. That would be on me.
What I DO take umbrage with is the fact that they are asking $150 dollars for a bundle of the newest Magic set, Edges of Eternity, which MSRPs for $53.99.
I asked why it was marked so high, and the answer I got was that it's a new set with high value cards, "like a land worth 40 dollars." as if EVERY set doesn't have many cards worth up to and over 100 dollars pulled from the same 6 dollar booster packs. (And I'm pretty sure the land she showed me was a 10 dollar land)
I don't know if the owner is just unaware of what the pricing on commonly accessible magic product is (I bought 2 of these bundles from walmart just 2 days ago), or if he needs to reconsider how much he's being charged by his distributor... but when I see a ridiculous mark up on an item I know the price of, it makes me wonder how much is being marked up on the items I don't know. I decided against an unrelated purchase because of this.
Edit: In response to the Owner. I tried telling yall in person when I said you could get it for 50 bucks at walmart. The response I got was, putting it politely, "I don't know how much the owner buys them for so, if we get them for 75, we can't sell them for 50".
Telling you directly did not work, which prompted the review. What do you expect me to do, argue...
Read moreAbsolutely love their Funko selection and will definitely be coming back to buy some. However, we came for the Pokemon cards and ended up leaving empty-handed and disappointed. For starters one of the guys âworkingâ spent the whole time we were in there talking to someone about politics and general stuff that doesnât belong in a card shop (for a minute we thought we accidentally walked into a recruiterâs office). The only person that helped us was a nice skinny man and he was doing the best he could juggling a couple people at once- at no point did the other guy jump in to help. It was a bit frustrating because we had questions, but eventually we got the info we needed and were told the prices were flexible. I was excited to see one card Iâd been hunting for, but my heart sank after inspecting it and seeing a BUNCH of scratches on it as if it sat loose in a box of other cards and tossed around before eventually going in a binder. I was shocked at the quality and would highly advise that people coming for the cards check the condition before buying. Will come back for the Funkos, will avoid their cards like the plague. Hopefully the customer service will be better...
Read moreMy pop collection is roughy 72~ (about 23 purchased in store) by now and i can happily say these guys have great selection and prices compared to other places nearby. I take my brother here sometimes and even convinced my father to come along, he has absolutely no interest in that stuff but absolutely loved some of the unique selection of characters he grew up with. Theyâre great, would absolutely recommend popgun to add to your collection. (And worked very well to help trade in...
