I ordered a lamb plate, gyro fries and extra bread. Simple order. Order was canceled by unknown and they did not advise me. Unknown fault no need to blame. Woman I spoke with repeatedly faltered at greeting me. Literally not making it past introduction. Although names were not the issue. She made me spell my name and while that is not an issue for me. She made my name an issue. And refused to continue the conversation saying will you speak to my supervisor.
Then I was hung up on
the next three calls I made went to voice mail.
. They Literally stopped the voice exchange based off of not willing to accept my name.
Why is my name more important than my issue or request?
I don't know
Why was I hung up on? Why did every following call be ignored? I don't know.
I do know care for your customers is not found here. If you care you couldn't allow someone to work there and have so much issues.
It's OK to have language issues. That is possible. But to disregard and abandon a customer who is 100% compliant and engaged because you don't care. That's negligent at best.
The owner/manager called me back. That's nice to know. But right is right. Wrong is wrong. Having such a poor employee is directly there responsibility.
Literally can't get beyond introduction with a multi cultural multilingual open accepting easy person.... there's a...
Read moreThis place did not disappoint!! I highly recommend it. I ordered a chicken and rice plate - very very good, especially with the white sauce. I got the small and it was just the right amount. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. My only wish is that they’d include a tiny cup of hummus to go with the pita bread they give, but otherwise perfect!
husband got the lamb gyro - he says the it’s the best one he’s had in a while (we often go to Bibi’s and Simple Greek) said the nan and lamb were the softest and tastiest out of all of them! He has quite the appetite but said he actually got full cause they loaded it up pretty good.
My daughters got the chicken quesadilla and fries- I know, who gets a quesadilla at a gyro place? but hear me out.. our kids always take one bite of their food and throw out the rest or they pick out the chicken but let me tell you, they ATE THIS QUESADILLA UP!! all of it! And it was stuffed!
We also ordered the falafel, I had never had it before but now I’m hooked!
So with a lamb gyro, a chicken rice plate, a quesadilla, order of fries, order of falafel AND 4 drinks came out to about $35. Which compared to simple Greek is great! Especially since I end up throwing away my kids uneaten plates anyway 🙄
Forgot to mention how very nice the...
Read moreIn my personal experience, it has been quite some time since I have indulged in a Greek gyro. Today, I made the decision to visit Gyro Guys in La Porte. To succinctly summarize my experience, I would use the term "exceptional." I had been eagerly anticipating a gyro and am pleased to report that this was an unexpected delight. The superior quality, texture, and distinctive flavor of the succulent lamb/chicken platter, complemented by tzatziki sauce, vegetables, and a side of pita bread, were truly remarkable.
I would like to express my gratitude to Carliee (with two "E's") for her recommendation of the medium platter, which proved to be the optimal choice. The gyro cheese fries were delightfully crispy and delicious. While the restaurant was clean, the ambiance appeared somewhat outdated. A renovation of the interior and some minor aesthetic adjustments to the decor would be beneficial.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend Gyro Guys in La Porte to anyone seeking a novel culinary experience. Your taste buds will undoubtedly express their...
