Burger Libre — Restaurant in La Porte

My kids and I wanted some burgers and, while they've both eaten there, I haven't. They both said it was good... WHEN THEY GET THE ORDER RIGHT.

I decided to roll the dice and showed up at 725, plenty or time before their 8pm close. I was told at first that they ran out of patties and the wait would be 30 to 45 minutes. My kids said that's okay, as LONG AS THEY GET THE ORDER RIGHT.

I ordered 2 Bacon Sanchos, both special orders without cheese, a burger for me and a few tacos. They were closed when they gave me my order and I was literally the last order given. The young lady behind the counter double checked my tots to make sure I got my chili and cheese - I didn't - and she added it to the bag. I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED MY KIDS' BURGERS... but there was a sign right in front of me that reminded employees to double check every order - so me in my trusting state felt like surely they got the burgers right! She even checked to make sure my tots were right!

To make this long story shorter - both of my kids' burgers had cheese and my daughter was upset because she says they do this every time to her - sometimes even after they make a new burger for her... they give her the wrong burger again. They're closed so I can't go back there right now, but I'll speak to the manager tomorrow.

The employees all seemed like stellar young men and women and I know they were very busy tonight... I feel like this has less to do with employee error and more to do with POS system maybe? My receipt does not show any special requests yet all special requests EXCEPT FOR NO CHEESE were followed.

I'm not exactly sure where the issue was.

All this said, MY BURGER was good!

‐-------------------- EDIT UPDATE 6/6/23 I phoned in on 6/3/23 and a male manager apologized and offered 2 replacement meals. I had originally planned to go in on 6/3 but ended up grilling at home. Decided to go in today and the GM was there. She didn't have a note indicating the meal replacements but once I explained the situation, she gave 2 replacement meals. Both were correct and my kids...

I’m not normally on this side town so I got on Yelp to find a good place to eat lunch. I was in the mood for a burger, and wanted to find a place close by. This place has pretty good reviews and it was only 1 mile from me, so after checking the website and seeing their slogan “burgers worth fighting for” I had to give it a try! I had the Mucho Macho burger combo with tater tots and a Skeleto Taco. The burger has a single beef patty, pork chorizo, applewood bacon, pepper jack cheese, with their signature libre sauce, jalapeños and the usual suspects tomato,lettuce, and onion. The buns are buttered, which I like, and the vegetables were really fresh. The tableside seasoning for the tots adds good flavor. Now the Skeleto Taco... If you can relate to jack in the box tacos being a guilty pleasure, you will definitely like these. Lol They are a little smaller, not greasy and tastier. Overall they are pretty good. All the employees seemed actually happy to be at work, and we’re very helpful. The burgers are not too small, as mentioned by some, or too big. I definitely left feeling satisfied, but not overly stuffed. The prices were what I’m used to seeing these days so I can’t complain. I would definitely go back, and next time I’m going to have to try one of...

We stopped here today. We are from Austin so we wanted to find a great burger place. Walking in, it’s a little loud but none the less, their food made up for it! We had two of our daughters with us and for all four of us to eat (we got a TON of food) it was around $50. Trinity helped us today and I cannot say enough about her sweet demeanor and how helpful she was with everything. I had completely forgotten to ask for cheese on my fries, she took care of that plus my husband wanted more tacos 😆 We enjoyed our time and most definitely the food!! My husband had a hotdog, my daughter had some burger with chorizo and jalapeños on it with bacon, I had the spicy chicken sandwich and they actually lettuce wrapped it when I asked. So even though they don’t advertise that, I wanted to make sure people are aware they will do it. They were relatively busy but again, food was out quickly and in an efficient manor, Trinity immediately grabbed our tacos when they were done and gave them to us. Cannot say enough about her and her infectious smile and the food!...
