I have a TCL phone I bought the device in April 2023 and by August the charging port stopped working after contacting the warranty dept at TCL they quoted me that it would 8-10 weeks for them to process the warranty and either fix my phone or issue a new one out but it was 25$ both ways for shipping and would be a minimum of 8-10 weeks. I started calling around and was quoted 120 at rapid repair but wasn't sure based on a few reviews but there was still a good amount of good reviews I saw. So I kept calling around and found rapid repair logan quoted me 85$ and said it would probably take a week depending on parts shipping but he was confident he could fix it this was august 31st I dropped off my phone he was super nice we chit chatted a moment about the phone and said with the holiday weekend it would probably be ready in 5-7days. A week later I had herd nothing so I started to call and left a VM he finally responded a few days later saying he got a port and it fits perfect but was defective so he was ordering a new one and it would be another week. I waited a bit but over a week and half later I tried to call again just to get an updated Well I couldn't get anyone to answer my call for over a week even with leaving voice mails. I finally got a hold of Logan and he said he was trying everything he could order be no charging port was fitting and everyone he ordered from was sending ports for wrong phone. he said he was going to try a few more place to order than if not just refund me and return my phone to me. After no contact for a bit it was October 24th I went in picked up my phone and reminded him I wanted a refund and so he said he would. Fast forward to November 19 and still no refund. I contacted Logan again via txt this time and he said square refunded me already it's just still processing. Still no refund and no communication.
After I posted my review he contacted me to tell me to just come in the following Saturday and pick up a cash refund. My husband and I showed up Saturday during open hours and he wasn't there after an hr and another woman waiting with us too we decided to leave. Then a few hours later he messages saying he used the cash to buy a devices and that he can refund and me on a cash app or venmo. I posted to come in instead for a cash refund. This when he refunded me the cost plus taxes and asked if I could take down the review. I told him I would edit it if Google allows that. So over all poor communication, didn't get the job done but apologized and refunded...
Read moreThis is probably the worst experience I have had. I broke my laptop screen in November. I originally contacted him November 26 and originally estimated my repair being done in a week due to shipping taking longer because of thanksgiving. His communication during the whole process has been awful. I had to call and text multiple to get updates of when the screen would be in. Finally a week and half after paying for the service the screen came in. However he informed me that it was the wrong screen. He orders another screen however when I brought in my laptop he texted me later letting me know that again it was the incorrect screen and he would need to order another. He said he would give me the tracking information, he did not I had to reach out several times to find out when it would be in. Dec 21 he is finally able to get me in and replace the screen however when I got home and turned it on the screen was covered in red lines and was glitching. I messaged and called multiple times and did not get a response until several days later. Jan 3 he told me her ordered another screen and would be in a few days later. Jan 7 he messaged me again saying that the screen he ordered was incorrect and he was ordering 1 more screen and was hoping it would be the correct one. We arranged for me to drop off my laptop Jan 14 but he was not at the store when we agreed to meet. He called and asked me to leave it with his friend at the shop that was next door. About 4 hours later he let me know that the new screen was flickering and that he was hoping it was fine and would let me know. He also let me know he had completely stripped the screws because of how many times her took it apart. He then tried blaming the screen flickering on part of the mother board being fried even tho I knew this wasn’t possible. After arguing with him he finally took it back apart and cleaned out any dust and told me my screen was good to go. I waited 45 minutes outside the store for him to bring me the computer back. I get home and while yes the screen was working the out side frame of the screen is damaged and now does not click back together fully because he took it apart to many times. Overall this repair was not worth what I had to spend on it and took him nearly 2 months to fix. Very poor communication and would...
Read moreTLDR; Don't waste your money. This guy made me pay about $200 upfront for a charging port issue, ghosted me for a year, and didn't even fix the issue that I was having when I finally got my laptop back.
I brought in my laptop last August for a charging port issue, and paid almost $200 for a job that I was told would take two weeks. I come back two weeks later, and the person working there (it was the same person working every time I stopped by the store) tells me that he needs to ship in the charging port from out of country, and that it would be about another two weeks. After not hearing anything for about a month, I come back and he tells me the exact same thing. The charging ports he tried did not fit, and he had to ship in more and that would take another two weeks. Then he closes for several months. No warning, no messages, nothing. I give up at this point, and being a broke college student, I assume that my laptop is just gone forever and there's nothing I can even do. Over a year passes, and I come back because I see that the store is open again, and I'm hopeful that the charging port issue has been fixed by this point because, again, it's been over a year when I was initially told that it would take two weeks. Still not fixed. At this point, I just want the laptop back regardless of whether or not it's been fixed, and I tell him this, and he initially tells me that it'll be fixed in a week and that I'll only be getting a half refund. A week passes. No word from the person running the store. I come back two weeks later and he actually has my laptop, tells me it's fixed and supposedly gives me a refund (although it's been several days and I still haven't gotten the refund in my bank account). I buy a new charger, try to plug it in... and it still doesn't work. I basically paid this guy to hold onto my laptop for over a year and it isn't even fixed. Extremely dissappointed because at the time I gave him the laptop, most of the reviews were positive and I had...
