Today was my birthday, and my partner asked me what I wanted for my birthday lunch. I told her I wanted to finally try Jerk An Tingz. Well, ladies and gentlemen—the wait was well worth it, and I’ll definitely be coming back many times. This was the best meal I’ve had in ages, and you can truly taste that it was made with love.

I got the jerk chicken meal, which came with coconut rice, cabbage, and fried plantains. My partner got the curry and jerk chicken combo, which also came with coconut rice, cabbage, and fried plantains. My favorite was the jerk chicken; hers was the curry chicken. The rice was cooked perfectly, and while neither of us are usually plantain lovers, we found that when eaten together, the combo was a symphony of flavor.

The most impressive part of the meal was the tenderness of the meat—literally no utensils required. Just lift it from the plate to your lips, and it falls off the bone and melts in your mouth.

This is a food truck worth visiting! I got the jerk chicken meal, and it was delicious. I got a mix of the spicy and sweet sauces on the chicken and it was nicely balanced. You could go harder on the spicy if you want too. A friend got the first curry, also, delicious.

Meals come with fried plantain, a hush puppy, rice with beans, and a tasty slaw.

Staff were friendly but it wasn't super fast. You can do it if you have half an hour but you probably want to call ahead. It's just one guy.

Ambiance: it's a food truck close to Capitol lake. Walk a little and you get a view, but the lot where it is isn't scenic.

Kids could do this if you don't mind that it's on an unenclosed street corner. There's a Mexican taco truck nextdoor if your partner isn't into it. Sometimes Akashic parks there also.

OMG! This is the 2nd time I've eater here & it was better than before. The only thing wrong with my food is I needed more oxtail 😂. The owner thought I left a bad review and immediately called me to find out what the problem was. What?! Nobody cares about customer service anymore. I can't believe they cared enough to actually call and check if we enjoyed the food.

I had to explain to him I just changed my phone number but no....no bad reviews from me as I shoved the MOST DELICIOUS juicy curry chicken I've ever had in my mouth.

It took everything in me to not turn around, go back and order more ! 😂 You can't go wrong with anything...
