Final Update*
Malco Theatres / Acadiana Lanes / Premier Laser Tag Acadiana have agreed to issue me a FULL REFUND for my party. I appreciate Ms. Nancy for being very professional and cooperative, and also a thank you to the the General & District manager who worked diligently to get the issue rectified. I appreciated your understanding, and hopefully this experience is a great learning opportunity for all parties involved. Moving forward, I hope that this will aid employees at Acadiana Lanes to deliver a more exceptional customer experience, and be more compassionate and proactive when it comes to resolving issues with their guests.
Update* I was contacted by a representative of the company, Mr Jarron, who called to asked me to remove the name of the young lady I mentioned in my previous post. To me i felt that was a little insensitive to contact me to take a name out of the post but not to rectify the issue. However he began to be a little more understanding as I explained. He provided me the number to Malco Theatres which is their parent company and i was informed to speak to Ms Nancy. I was questioned for about 5 mins by an elderly woman who answered the phone before she put me on hold, came back and said she was unavailable at the time due to her being on a call and that my cal would be returned. I never received a call back. I called back and was unable to get anyone on the phone. I left a message and I expect to have a call back in the morning! Original I would not recommend having a birthday party at Premier Laser Tag Acadiana also known as Acadiana Lanes! They were very unorganized and out of all birthday parties I’ve booked they were the WORST. Today i held a party for my son there and the hostess Cicely was very sweet however she was not engaging whatsoever and did not explain to me what was allotted in the 90 min time frame that i had. My party was interrupted 10 mins prior to its designated time to go play lasted tag, even though the pizza arrived late and the children were still eating. The hostess informed me that we would still be able to open gifts and cut the cake but we would need to do so in a different area and I was fine with that. After we finished laser tag, we arrived back to the table where we were moved and began to prepare to cut the cake. A different hostess walks up and advises us that we cannot sit at the table due to it being reserved. I advised the hostess that i was already informed by a different hostess that the table was available and she then gets her manager, Mr. John Hinson. The manager was extremely rude and told us there was “nothing we could do about it” and to “find somewhere else to go”. He then told me i had 5 mins to clean the table or we would be removed from the premises. He also stated that the family, who was a white family might i add, spent “Good money” for their party, as if we each didn’t book the SAME PARTY and my money is of less value. I’m extremely upset at how the situation was handled and i will be notifying their corporate office in the morning. VERY...
Read more*update So the mom of the birthday party posted a review on Facebook and not corporate but an assistant manager named jarron morrison called her instead (so somebdoy under the manager we had problems with) and pleaded her to remove certain names from her post but something told her to check the corporate # the actual manager gave her and tell me why that so say corporate # is the same number the assistant manager called her from
Make it make sense
I attended a party today and just had to come and leave a review. The party was a hour and 30 minutes long the host barely interacted with us she didn’t go get the food until about 20 minutes before the party was over then once we sat down to eat and cut the cake she advised us if we wanted to play laser tag we needed to go now which cut 15 minutes off the party. So the mom of the birthday boy asked if would still be able to cut cake and open gifts afterwards the host said yes and told us exactly what table to go to. After laser tag and my friend paid the remainder of the party a separate party hose came n asked us to leave bc it was in a reserved area (right after my friend paid even though we had been sitting there for like 20 minutes ) so we politely explained our host directed us here in order for the birthday boy to cut his cake n open his gifts. The manager then walked up to us and told us we had 5 minutes to pack everything up r he would put us out because those people over there (points to white people) paid good money to be here. As if we had t paid the exact same price as them !!! Moral of the story it was very unorganized due to their scheduling and booking the host was rude and the manager was rude. I wouldn’t recommend them for...
Read moreI was so disappointed in how my sister was treated for my nephews birthday party. I grew up going to this bowling alley every single Friday as a kid… me and my sister both… and I can believe that my sister was treated so poorly and how unorganized this company is. My nephew’s party was interrupted multiple times, and their party was cut short. They made them move to a different table only to find out that the table they were moved to was reserved for another party. The manager John Hinson was so rude to my sister when asking them to move from the tables AGAIN, and even told her that “They paid good money for these tables” as if my sisters money wasn’t good enough when she paid $300 for a table and didn’t get to open gifts or cut cake because the party was cut short. After being rude to my sister, after trying to over charge her for the laser tag, and interrupting my nephew’s cake cutting, the Mr. John Hinson decided to come back and tell my sister that she had five minutes to clean up the table (the table that they moved her to that was reserved for another family) or she would be kick out of the building when it wasn’t her fault that she was there in the first place. Just so happened this is a white family and we’re black. Apparently black people aren’t valued at this bowling alley and I don’t suggest that any black people go there. It’s COMPLETELY different from when I was a kid. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My nephew was so disappointed and even said that the people there were being so mean to them. It’s crushing when a 7 year old kid picks up on that kind of stuff. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! They’re attitudes are disgusting and we’ll never spend another DIME in...
