I went to home furniture looking for a bedroom set. I found one I liked and paid cash, I was told I had to pay for deliver which was 150 if I wanted it the next day. I thought to myself wow I have to pay for delivery this should be free, since I spent a lot of money and paid cash. I went ahead and paid for it anyway. (I had an amazing sales representative named Adel she has shown me great hospitality, very informative and an awesome personality.) The next day I received a call stating the delivery drivers were close by, when the arrived the were nice and set my bed up. The went outside and came back in and told me my dresser was defective I was agitated because the item should have been checked before it was put on the truck. They called it in and said they could get me another one two days later. I wanted it the same day and they were unable to give it to me. I said why and when the delivery guy wasn’t able to answer as he wasn’t very informative. I was very disappointed, Monday arrived and I didn’t know what time they would arrive so I had to call in work. I was livid by this time. Early that morning I called Home Furniture asked about the delivery time and told them I was disappointed with the delivery and I demanded part of the delivery back They Gave me a check for 55 bucks. Later that evening they delivered me my dresser, two days later once I decided to put some clothes in there one of the dresser drawers won’t shut all the way and I can’t do anything about as the receipt says no return or exchanges after 48 hours, horrible return policy. Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at Home Furniture in Lake Charles yesterday. I didn't have a lot of time and was hoping to find what I was looking for there. I was greeted by Mr. Vaugh Richard when I entered the store. He was very friendly, and he showed me right to the mattresses. I was looking for particular features in the mattress that I wanted to purchase. He showed me 2 of my best options and explained the differences between them. He then answered all of my questions and concerns. He suggested I try them both to feel the different comfort levels. It didnt take me long to choose the one I wanted. I then asked about small side tables for my husband's laptop and tablet which he kept by his chair. He showed me 2 awesome tables with plug in features and an USB port. How perfect was that? I thought since I was on a roll and finding what I wanted, why not ask about the double recliner I had wanted, so I would have more room for grandchildren to sit with me. He showed me a nice chair with remote reclining which would definitely make it easier to recline with children in my lap. Not only did I find everything I was looking for, but I didnt spend hours searching for them. Afterwards he set me up on a payment plan with no interest for a designated amount of time, and quickly had a delivery date set up for my new furniture! Here's my issue. We spent close to 10k there on a bed and a sectional with an ottoman. The section was a little over 2k. And it's a total piece of junk! We haven't even owned it 2 years yet and it's completely falling apart. The cushions won't even hold up a other year max because they are literally shredding underneath with the black material.
Now to this "warrenty" you get with the items. I had to call the store and was given a number to call. I called that number and was given a website where you have to submit a claim PER piece PER damage.
However that's not even the issue. The issue is they then make you wait weeks to a month for someone to show up and just look at your item. Then once it's approved you again have to wait weeks to a month for someone to actually come repair the item. We was completely without a couch for months because the entire frame broke in half from my 60 pound child sitting down!
For the amount of money we spent on this couch I am highly highly upset. The ottoman as well is completely unusable due to the leg snapping off.
