I didnt know if i wanted to leave a review because the first time i was with annastasia i had to get my hair fixed and dont want to seem like i am just a "karen" but I woke up today still uneasy about my appointment.. this is my 2nd time with annastasia, first time at this location.. the first time at the other location (multanomah) was an amazing experience except i felt my hair didnt look much different from when i got there, and they brought me in at no extra cost which i didnt know until i was ready to pay and they told me it was on the house.
Come back around to now, my hair doesn't look bad but is nothing like I wanted. I did specify I didn't want a black looking brown because i didnt want an too much of an"emo look" as alot of my clothing is black LOL. (besides the point) I wanted chocolate brown with red. We Decided on marroonish instead of red but my hair literally looks like 1 color (i paid for 2?). my service took longer then it was supposed to because I have a lot of hair, but my hair was left wet and un styled I had to go home and do my hair before even going to the store. She did ask me if it was ok not to finish blow drying it I felt the end was rushed so it was ok I guess? I wanted to leave anyways because My 5 year old daughter sat in a chair full of someone else's hair at the beginning and was crying pretty much the whole time about her itchy legs which is disgusting and sad/stressful... getting hair done is supposed to be an experience on top of leaving feeling beautiful and I got the opposite of both of those. :( i did leave a 20 dollar tip because my hair did take a while I would have tipped more but this whole experience was a nightmare unfortunately. & No I don't want to get my hair "fixed" like last time I won't be going...
Read moreI have been debating writing a public review however, when I did not receive any communication after the private review I sent back I figured I would. I went in for a hair cut with Sophia. My hair was extremely long and I wanted to make a big change into a “lob” (about to my collar bone/shoulders). I showed a picture and said I want it long enough that I do not have to style it every single day. Sophia agreed and asked if I wanted the bottoms textured. I said let’s wait to see how it falls after it’s cut. She mentioned we can test it out in a pony tail to see how thick it is. Through this conversation I was confident she would cut my hair long enough to be put in a pony tail and the length I showed in the picture. Much to my surprise her first cut was an under cut about 1/2 inch from my neck. The finished product was my hair so short I can barely even do a half up half down look. It’s about to my chin. My hair is thick so this is not a good look even when styled. I was so incredibly disappointed. I told her it was much shorter than I expected and she said she was sorry and glad my hair grows fast. So incredibly disappointed and truly dislike my hair more than I ever have. I’ve never had an under cut (and would never choose to have one) and it is so insanely short. I wish she would have slowed down and listened to what I wanted and asked before making such an insanely short first cut for such...
Read moreUpdate: When reaching out to the manager, I was offered to either fix my hair or get a refund. For this I'm updating my review to 3 star because they were very kind and understanding. Also note my review isn't based on the salon itself, it's because my hair done wasn't even close to the picture I had showed.
Pic I posted here is what I wanted the lady next to the hair extention. I did decide to have purple added for highlights using extentions but.. Pic I wanted has darker at the top and melts to lighter colors.. As where I was given dark all over with some highlights it doesn't melt into the lighter colors like the pic.. No way to fix it without bleaching it, which would damage my hair more than it already is because I had it blonde already. Danelle is really nice and I tried to like my hair, but I am so bummed because I thought the pic I found was beautiful and wanted it like that as close as possible, a lot of money spent for something I didn't ask for..Had it been what I wanted it might have been worth the money. On top of this, we planned to color my hair to match some clip in extentions.. come to find out there was no extentions to match after coloring my hair, she said we could try it but didn't think it would look right..Said we could do a weft but I really just wanted the clip ins...
