Loved the hotel and the location. Elevator broke down, which for us on the 3rd floor wasn't an issue, but beware if you are handicap. Our only real issue was the toilet! Seriously - you had to sit side saddle to use the thing!!! It faced the tub and was less than a foot from the front of it to the tub, and up against a wall. Who thought that was a good idea?? I'd request a look at the room first next time! For that reason alone the room gets 2 stars....and maybe should be 1.

This place was a mirage in the desert! Very clean rooms with nice air conditioner, and very comfy beds! The staff is very kind and has true hospitality. The pool right next to the lake is the best part about it. There are very good restaurants and markets within short walking distances. This was the best part of our whole vacation and we will definitely be back again.

Location , location, location! This was our second time at the Lakeshore Inn on Lake Oswego. We booked room 44, a two bedroom suite with kitchen. The view was serene and beautiful. The kids loved the train passing by at night. Its so close to restaurants, a park and Whole Foods. Its not super new or recently remodeled but it’s clean and not run down. Very nice trip.

I have no ill will toward the owners or staff of the Lakeshore Inn, but there are some things that prospective guests should be aware of before deciding to stay here. ||First of all, the pros: central location, free parking, and friendly, accommodating staff. ||Now, the cons: ||1. An unbelievably loud train passes by during the night, blaring its horn mere feet from the hotel. Last night, it was at 3:15 a.m. Trains are required to sound their horns continuously while passing through a town center. This went on for several minutes in the middle of the night. Unbelievably loud. ||2. Issues in the bathroom: There is a sink with a very narrow edge and just one small glass shelf, tiny really, to set items on. You'll be setting your things on the toilet lid or floor. The shower water did not stay hot for long. The only hook in the bathroom is located far away from the shower, on the door. ||3. Other issues: the bed was kind of smushy and not the most comfortable. The "courtyard" view is just drab close-up views of the stairwells. The thing that bothered me the most (well, not as much as the earsplitting train) was learning that this hotel still has a flyer in each room stating they do not perform housekeeping services due to covid concerns. The price to stay here is high and we are no longer in a public health emergency due to covid. It is clearly a cost cutting measure and the claim that the lack of housekeeping services is due to covid precautions seems disingenuous and out of date. ||To summarize, I would not be tempted by the location and would opt for one of the also not great chain hotels in the vicinity instead. You'll have to pay for parking and they are kind of weird and less-than-ideal in their own ways, but the Lakeshore Inn is extremely uncomfortable and...

I visited the Lakeshore Inn on a business trip. The booking process was undoubtedly the easiest I have ever encountered. The inn, though secluded from the main road was easy to locate, and accurately pinned on Google Maps. The location offered a secure feeling for your person, and your property. The inn is in a very wonderful area with breath taking views of Lakewood Bay, and a short walk to many cafes, bakeries, coffee shops, markets, and entertainment.

I stayed in the 1-bedroom studio, on the ground level floor, which was accurately depicted on the website. The room itself, as well as the inn were both exceptionally maintained, and impeccably clean. All staff I interacted with were always fully informative, extremely courteous, and flawlessly professional.

WITHOUT A DOUBT WILL ONLY STAY HERE FOR FUTURE PERSONAL/BUSINESS VENTURES TO METRO PORTLAND AREA!!!

Thank you very much for the wonderful stay and can’t wait to visit again with my family soon!

A few extra noteworthy mentions:

-I loved the architecture of this building! Huge, brilliant, and unique to capture views of the bay.

-Early morning breakfast (starts at 6:00 am).

-The Wi-fi information was on my room key sleeve making it very easy to link laptop for a call home to the family. (No lag...

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and it’s close to everything! We walked everywhere and my children loved it. There's a water play area about a hundred feet from hotel, you can walk to many delicious restaurants, breweries and the river. There's a Whole Foods if you need groceries. It's great!||There were a few inconveniences that I would fix but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again.||The elevator wasn't working when I arrived and I was on the second floor with lots of heavy luggage and lots of kids. It was also 90 degrees out so that wasn't fun. The lovely lady did volunteer to help me lug it up. ||My key stopped working every time I left my room whether it was by my phone, tucked in a pocket, or kept away from everything. ||Another really annoying thing was every single day a group of women having some Barbie party would take over the entire pool area. The tables, the couches, the lounge chairs. They literally hogged everything ALL day long leaving hardly any space for any one else. They left their pool toys, floats, and food ALL over the pool area and could not be bothered to be anything but rude and entitled. I wish the staff would've checked on that situation a little more but we had fun at the...
