Holloway Park — Attraction in Lakeland

Excellent location to walk your dogs, go on a hike, take wildlife photography, play disc golf, chase your children around, on run some trails! I took my dogs here again recently and had a blast! My only wish is they would stay open until 8PM instead of 7PM since it’s cooler out later in the evening for my pups. There is a lot of parking on the trails, but none that were pavement if that matters for you. This would be a great location for a 5K race. There was a potapotty that I did use and it was clean. I have been here before and it's quite nice. I went today on a wendsday and brought by dog and my daughter. We got maybe 200 feet in and a staff worker came up and said "we close in 5 minutes" it was 2:55 pm. I just can't understand why on a wendsday this park closes at 3pm!! I asked why and he just shrugged his shoulders. If I didn't live across the street on lakeland highlands I'd be pretty mad. There have been other instances where the park is weirdly closed or have some weird conditions to Enter such as a 10 dollar fee. Most beautiful place in Polk County to hike and/or run! Plenty of space for your dog to explore, (please bring poop bags). Update: hiking area ruined by disc golf being added on the NATURE side instead of the sports side!! They even put one of those ugly, loud baskets right under a bird house!
