Cove Park — Attraction in Lakewood

I'd give this park 5 stars if the bathrooms were ever open. But the rest of the amenities are nice. There's a track/path around the park that's good for jogging or biking. There's plenty of shade from trees and open green space, along with a baseball diamond, newer playground equipment, pavilion with tables and benches, a resident run garden, a pollinator garden and plenty of parking. It's a great spot for families to get fresh air and play. If you're lucky, you may get to watch the train roll through and honk its horn...

This park used to be a joke, but has been completely redone. The exercise path around is great from running to a casual dog walk. The playground is the perfect size for the area, and is never that busy- making it great for smaller kids who need more supervision. The tall trees around keep it shaded all summer. Love, love, love COVE PARK. It has lots of shade, great playground equipment, lots of trees and open space, and a bunch of picnic tables under a shelter. Would give it a 5 except for the fact that there was no access to a bathroom OR a Port-A-Potty. It is a great place for a birthday party but without a bathroom and young children and older adults needing the bathroom, it was a chance that no one would need the bathroom...
