The waitress was super friendly. The home made fries were delicious. But that’s about it. The cups have this weird after smell and taste. But the biggest casualty of this place was the corn beef sandwich I ordered. It stunk to high heaven. And it had this taste like it’s been sitting in a steel container in the fridge for a month. The smell and taste was literally vomit inducing. I remember coming to this place frequently in my university days when it was called Tina’s. The quality was better in those days. Maybe I should have ordered anything but the corn beef because everyone else’s food smelled and looked terrific. I may give this place a second chance.

Outstanding value for delicious meal, thank you, Chef. Vegan, a special request of fries with: refried beans, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, salsa, and no dairy. A huge mountain of fresh hot food showed up with the beans on top. I loved how the refried bans integrated green peppers and a depth of flavors. The fresh tomatoes and onions were perfect. My dryer was done, so I tipped everything into a To Go box. If I lived here we'd be ohana. It's popular and I can see why. September 2024 has construction on Waterbury. Bon Apetit.

A no-nonsense American diner, tucked into the corner of a little strip shopping center. (The attached photo of the "Healthy Wrap" menu item sums things up perfectly - they're not trying to be something they aren't!) Waitress was friendly, food came quickly. The waitress even used a tablet to take our orders, so they're just a little ahead of the curve in that department. If you're in the Lakewood area of Cleveland, and the (awful) hotel breakfast isn't cutting it, come over here for an affordable and filling meal.

We visited the dinner the day after St Patrick's Day and it was a BUSY Sunday morning! We waited probably 10-15 minutes to get a seat around 1045am and sat at the little barstools. It took a while to get some service but the staff was friendly and was simply so busy we could see why service was a bit slow.

After waiting what seemed like another 10-15 mintutes to put in our order it probably took 30 min just to get our french fries and another 10 minutes later to get the omlet and breakfast bowl we ordered.

The food was hot, fresh and delicious and we were happy with the outcome. We could see that the staff in the kitchen was also super busy and it looked like part of the craziness was a non-stop flood of Uber Eats orders they had to make while trying to also cook for a full diner of patrons.

All in all because the food was good it was worth 4 stars but if the next time we try and visit, there's that much craziness going on we'll go to another local diner because it won't be worth the hour and a half time it took to walk in and then walk out.

Other than some things outside of the businesses control we did have one complaint. My wife and I noticed multiple times were some of the waiting staff and others in the kitchen handled toast and spreading butter with bare hands and may have also handled cash or other items without washing hands. They were doing everything they could to keep the place moving and a positive attitude and friendly service but seeing that was a bit off-putting and I hope that isn't the usual way they prepare or handle the bread.

We love supporting local establishments and will go back again but now we know wether to walk in or if we're better off going somewhere else comparable like That...

I've lived in Lakewood for about 25 years. I WANT to see local restaurants succeed and prosper. I went to the Grey Dog a few years back when it first opened and thought it was "ok." This past Sunday my wife and I decided to give it another try. I'll keep this review short.

A. THEY RAN OUT OF COFFEE (at a DINER) on a Sunday morning (obviously this SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN - it's one of the foundations of running a diner - you ALWAYS have coffee)

B. The server told my wife that the kitchen could not make scrambled eggs because the eggs were cooked on a flat top. (why a flat top grill means you can not scramble eggs in a bowl is beyond my ability to comprehend).

C. The waitress seemed like a pleasant person, but was completely frazzled from the moment that we walked in around 11:30 a.m. Things only got worse for her as the coffee drinkers in the place (of which I am NOT one), were impatient with the "we ran out of coffee and are making more" line and it began to get a bit heated verbally.

Overall the food was decent. I had a turkey club which was LOADED with turkey. My wife, more a turkey connoisseur than me, said the turkey was very good. Her non-scrambled eggs were decent.

Seems like a management issue, but I don't run restaurants, I just go to them several times a week. Most of the time I don't have to write these sorts of things and I feel kind of bad about it, BUT changes should be made so that customers feel comfortable, welcomed, and...

Honestly every experience I’ve had there has been amazing. However recently my friends and I went in to have breakfast. The kids behind us were v@ping and smelled of weéd. We were accused by either the manager or cook that we made the whole place smell. My friends might’ve smelled as well as they just left someone’s house who had the same things. We were told “you’re making my entire restaurant smell and it’s awful.” She then proceeded to sit and watch us from the table behind with her cell phone taking photos of us and screenshotting the security cameras off her phone. One thing for certain is that never go in here if you have the munchies! Being in Ohio the laws are always changing. Especially since there are multiple dispensary’s around town. Lady get hip! The waitress and hostesses felt terrible as they told us they weren’t bothered and customers around us felt sympathy saying they weren’t bothered either. We would’ve immediately left if she were more kind and not sitting taking videos of us. We would’ve left if other customers had issues which NONE did. I felt for the waitress who served us because she was beyond embarrassed by the manager. She was super sweet. Food is good and staff is good however...
