Family and Friends Homecare — Attraction in Lakewood

We are so grateful for Family and Friends Homecare! My elderly mom lives with me and my husband. She recently broken her hip and due to some dementia, now requires extra care while I am at work. Family and Friends Homecare stepped up and were ready to meet all of our needs. Amy got everything set up so quickly, and was extremely responsive! She would get back to me within minutes, no matter when I contacted her. She was so on top of the insurance paperwork (and somehow understood all of it) she got it turned back in the day she received it. She’s been so accommodating, kind, understanding, and a gem to work with! We have also worked with Melissa and Ana, and have appreciated them both! Melissa has been very kind, attentive, engaging, compassionate, professional, responsive, and communicates well. Ana is very kind, understanding, professional, responsive, willing to step up and do whatever we need such as getting my mom to take showers, taking her dog out, and implementing the exercises recommended by PT and OT. Ana is also punctual and anticipates my mom’s needs. Every night when Ana leaves, my mom says how nice she is and how much she likes Ana! The agency called me to schedule a meeting in one day after being notified of my needs. They jumped in in just one calls notice after the previous agency just stopped showing up. I ran home from work and the same day they were at our home to assist.

They have been kind and soft with my heart and my husband’s needs. They understand his level of dementia and pay attention to the details. Our caregivers have been very attentive to my husband and his needs. He loves the compassion and companionship they give him and Paris (the dog) Our caregiver is dependable and self motivated. She takes great care of my husband and helps with household chores. The company has been very cooperative with necessary scheduling changes. The company lives up to their name they treat both my husband and myself like family. They have given me such a break with this disease that is new to my husband and myself.

One day while traveling to the store we had a emergency on the bus since the 911 was her shift ended when they arrived. She was free to go home. That is when my caregiver became my friend.
