I have been a customer for a year. I loved the first technician, beautiful work & respectful. Then this tech was late more than once, the last time doing my nails terribly. I left feeling awful about how my pedi & mani looked after I relied on such wonderful work before. So I made a “fix it,” appointment with a different tech. Ohmygosh! Beautifully done! I continued as a regular & quite happy. Received compliments as should be with with paying for this service. Again, this tech began to arrive late, another poor workmanship, today being the 3rd disappointment - with this same tech. In addition, after a few of my first visits, I was welcomed. Today, I received a callus vibe, no “Good morning!” Just, “You have an appointment with _.” These employees were always pleasant with me before! I struggled with the color samples, not one offer of help. Twenty minutes after my appointment time, the the tech walked in. Saw me, said nothing. A woman walked in & wanted a quick eyebrow wax, they happily honored it. The problem for me was it was with the tech I had an appointment with. So, they are now 30 minutes late. Once I received acknowledgment, the colors I wanted to discuss were dismissed until I already had foils on my nails. So I couldn’t use my phone to show what I wanted, or work with the color tabs. This was not what I’d experienced before. So, I’m now, yet again, stuck with a nail job I’m unhappy with, even though I made attempts to redirect. It’s Christmas. It needs to be noted that I felt unwelcome but my money was. I am a very generous tipper. I mean GENEROUS! I’m not sure what I’m more upset about - how I was treated today, my nails - knowing I could have had so much better, that I have been forgiving with techs becoming habitual in being late….. pretty much all of it. I believe in supporting small & local business. I will not do it for Mile High Nails again. Very sad. Even more sad, it won’t bother them a bit.

An update… I continued to be a loyal customer. My last visit was horrible. This is why… my visit before my recent - The white shellac on my nails was far too thick & chipped by the next day. (I believe the polish was aged. Not the first time I’ve noticed such thick shellac.) I have a nail that has a stubborn growth after it was slammed & caught in a truck door 5 years ago. This has been acknowledged with my many visits to Mile High Nails. I was blamed for the gel coming off due to the weak nail. My nail has been acknowledged since my first visit. I called to let them know - my other nails that had the white were also chipping & the strokes of purple on the others transparent. It was demanded that I return the next day to have it all fixed. I’M NOT SORRY, I work 3 jobs. These ladies also know this, & seem to never had an appreciation for my also hard work depending on tip wages. I received a call from Rose scolding me & said I have to pay for Alysa’s time. Well yeah… Again, I depend on tips for a living as well. Already stated I tip generously. I returned, had my mani & pedi. At time of payment, I paid cash & Alysa kept the money saying the leftover change was fine for a tip. Also generous. Wait, what? I should have received the change & I give the tip. Whoa. The visit I had when the white nail polish with purple, I wanted to make a future visit. Alysa did not want to give me an appointment, she said I cancel… NO, I may have to reschedule sometimes. 3 JOBS! I ALWAYS call ahead. My last visit when she assumed my tip, I was not offered a future appointment. I’ve been told from the front desk that Mile High Nails is understaffed & over worked. As are many of us. Apparently I’m no longer welcome there nor is my money & generous tips. Take good...
Read moreI would not come here. I asked for a regular gel manicure. Easy and simple, right? My overall experience was not great, the store was not busy at all (surprising for a Saturday) but the lady rushed through my whole manicure and was going back and forth between clients. If she would've asked, I would not have minded waiting. She was completely careless as you will soon read. First, I told the lady doing my nails that I wanted to keep the current shape of my nails (rounded), but she continued to file them into a square shape instead. She cut one of my nails and left it completely jagged. Second, she got polish way past my cuticles and left it super messy and even clumpy on some parts. She also left portions of my nails UNPAINTED. Like a quarter of one of my pointer finger nails does not have any polish on it, same with my pinky nail. It was not hard to miss, either. When she was done with the color polish, she then, without asking (I never once said I wanted this either, just the one color), started painting some design on one of my fingers. I had to tell her I did not ask for that and to take it off. She obviously just wanted me to spend more money and tip her more, but she just did it without asking. She was quite rude after I told her to take it off, too, as if I was in the wrong. Overall, the whole experience was completely disappointing and a huge waste of money. I don't get my nails done often so I wanted one professional experience but I ended up paying for something overly...
Read moreThe only reason I set foot in this place was because my regular nail salon, which is Modern Nails, was already closed. I was driving for half hr to get here, called ahead of time and asked for prices, which was standard 35 full set gel. I get there. First of they had an attitude. She asked what I wanted and i said pointy, so she proceeds to glue the nails, then asks how long, so i asked her to do a little longer than half since the filing and all to male them pointy. The reply i get is that if i want them long i have to pay more. That the 35 was for regular size which when she put her finger was about 2 cm. Why the heck would i go get nails, pointy nails for that matter, that short? They would look ridiculous.
Now i dont mind paying for something if its worth it, but even the way she glued the plastic nails you can tell it wasnt going to be a good job.
So this people charge for something but they give u what they want. And then when i said i was not paying extra she says, give me your hand im going to take off so you can go. Thats when i got rude. Because you are getting paid to do a job if you are not going to like every customer that comes in then do something else. Is not ok to be rude to people who give u business.
I should have paid more attention to previous comments.
Again my problem is not paying extra if i have to. But come on let people know in advance. All i wanted was pointy gel nails. And this happened.
NEVER AGAIN. NOT EVEN IN...
