Rent to own stereo system. I have called and complained about unable to use radio and have speaker lights flashing at same time causes interference and static not able to use both at same time which defeats why I got it. Very poor lack of communication of store manager and employee giving me wrong info on being able to return it and manager was not believing when I made calls complaining and she was very rude to me . She would not allow me to return item and stated doing so would ruin my credit. Manager is not a people person and she hung up on me when I was asking questions about resolving the problem. Manager said would send store employees out to look at it but they are not service technicians so if they observe problem with item would need to send their service tech out but I would still owe payments on an item I cannot use as should be able to use. All this place wants is either money from customers or ruin your credit they will not work with you and be honest or reasonable with customers the manager will treat you as if you are lieing about when you called to complain and everything else. Manager refused to believe me when I told her what employee said about how long I had to return item and that I was told I could return it. SYAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will be filing complaint...

â 1 Star â Extremely Unprofessional and Frustrating Experience
I would never recommend Farmerâs Home Furniture in Lancaster, SC. When I purchased my furniture, they strongly pressured me into buying the insurance planâpractically made it seem like it was required. I went ahead and paid for it thinking it would give me peace of mind in case anything went wrong. Big mistake.
Something eventually did break on the furniture, and thatâs when the real nightmare started. Iâve called them at least ten times, spoken with employees and a manager, and every time Iâm given the runaround. I even updated my address with them multiple times, but somehow they keep âlosingâ it or acting like itâs brand new information.
On top of that, the attitude Iâve gotten from their staff is completely unacceptable. Theyâre rude, dismissive, and clearly donât care about customer service once theyâve made the sale. Itâs been months, and I still canât get anyone to actually come out and fix the furniture that I paid to have protected.

My Dad decided he liked the one at Farmers best. So we went back there. We asked the manager, Tedrick, if he could give a discount for cash or if he would waive the $60 delivery charge. The manager and both salespeople said they could not. We were the only customers in the store both times. In addition, there were 3 store employees there on Saturday afternoon. This is not a busy place. I cannot imagine why on earth they would let a $600 cash sale walk out the door over a $60 delivery charge. However, they did.
