EDIT 5/8/23. On 5/4/23 I came into the store to pick up some extra SD cards for my wedding day, as I do not trust amazon's and I would rather support a small business with this stuff rather that purchasing from places like BestBuy. They had some on sale at a great price! I had been contemplating purchasing a new Micro lens. I was able to get a refurbished 105 2.8 Micro lens. I am beyond happy with it! aside from the fact that nikon doesnt offer this lens new anymore, i was estatic to find one referbished instead of used. It came like new in box with all accessories and manual. Claire gave me a great price. I look forward to coming back to Cardinal Camera for all of my photography needs. I am attaching images from the referbished lens.
EDIT 4/28/2023. Spoke with Clair directly today. We talked about the miscommunication and we came to a mutual understanding of what had happened, and Cardinal Camera took responsibility for what had happened between us. Cardinal Camera really does care about their customers and making things right.
Original post: Walked in on Monday to purchase a lens filter. Wasn't sure of the size but told them what lens I needed it for. They gave me a fair price, unfortunately it wasn't the right one. Went back shortly after same day to get the correct one, which they did no problem. While there earlier i had asked how much a lens calibration was they said x dollars. the lady there offered for me to go to an event they are having this Saturday, I told them I am actually busy donating my time photographing a charitable event, then the lady there said if you need anything let us know we love to help out with those sort of things. I think to myself cool I need to get a couple lens calibrated. So i decide to bring my gear to get calibrated and to exchange the wrong item they sold. While there I ask again about lens calibration price and wasn't sure if the lady was insinuating earlier that there would be some kind of discount because i was doing this charitable event. Well I was charged the same as x priced quoted earlier in the day. No problem I don't mind paying for a quality service. Was told Monday I would get a call Thursday when everything was done and ready for pick up. I did not receive any call and had to call myself when I was done my day job and was ready to come pick up my gear. When I picked up my gear I was charged almost 3 times the amount I was expecting to pay, for a check and cleaning fee. I am not dissatisfied with the service, but it was never communicated with me that this service was being performed. I would have really appreciated better communication, as well as a better explanation of what things were going to cost. Read moreI had a great experience with Cardinal Camera! Due to a huge disappointment from another online company, a camera for my daughter's birthday (gift) did not arrive on time. I was able to find out that Cardinal Camera had them in stock. The "Ask Kurt" option on their website is amazing, you get a direct connection to a real person and a real professional -- the owner Kurt. He responded so quickly and offered to ship it to me, but because of the need to get it quickly I drove there the next day. Literally the best company communication I have had in YEARS!
The Lansdale store is amazing. It is not a big box store with well meaning staff who don't know anything about cameras -- these are professionals who know what they are taking about. The store, unlike many these days, is well stocked, organized, professional and clean. No dusty shelves and disorganized stacks here! When I arrived one salesman was working with a client and I was happy to wait, but within about 2 minutes another sales professional, Shane, came out from the office and was super helpful in helping me find exactly what I needed. Without asking, he offered to open the box and show me the product -- I really appreciated that and I wouldn't have thought to ask. He didn't try to upsell me on a single thing! I did ask for a few accessories and he steered me to price appropriate options and made sure I had everything I needed. He explained the return policy and we discussed me shipping it back if I needed to return (which I don't, but since it was a birthday present I wanted to make sure). From the moment I walked in the door til the I walked out took less than 10 minutes. Not that I felt rushed, but it was super super efficient.
So very happy with their service AND their product. I highly recommend using them and if you are buying go to them directly (in person or online) rather than buying from a third-party reseller. You will get excellent service. Both Kurt and Shane were so easy and pleasant to deal with and (since he's the only one I met in person, since Kurt was away the day I was in), I can say that Shane is a great person to walk you through your purchase.
These local businesses and chain businesses line CC MUST stay in business, so I really recommend people who need a camera to use these folks.

Read moreI had been hunting for a Fujifilm X100V for over 8 months. My favorite local camera dealer, who I’ve been a patron of for almost 50 years, had been excellent in finding my Nikon Z6 & then Z6ii, Z mount lenses, etc over the past two-four years when ‘the big boys’ came up dry over & over. My recent purchases of a Fuji X-E4, several lenses for it & my recent Nikon Z 105MC macro went flawlessly. THEY ALWAYS LOOKED OUT FOR ME AND ALWAYS CAME THROUGH…until my hankering for the Fuji X100V in black! The hunt went COLD. I had given up…believing that ‘the beast was not to be captured’ for many more months. Reading some posts in the Fuji sphere, I realized I was not alone. So many suggestions, just as many dead ends…until there was one small post about Cardinal Camera & how they often had rarities that another photo junkie wanted. But I lived 85 miles away from their nearest store. But I called anyway, and they very calmly and matter-of-factly said they had one…in black…brand new…and with a USA warranty!! Problem: It was at another store of theirs about 100 miles from me! I didn’t want it shipped because I didn’t want to wait or have it not arrive within a few days…nor risk it being ‘not as represented’ (as sometimes happens with the big boys) AND GUESS WHAT…without a cent spent to reserve it or buy it outright, they ‘shipped it’ to the close store, which I thought would take a week or so…but it took LESS THAN 24 HOURS! When I arrived at their store, they were so friendly and patient because I think I was a bit giddy when Kimberly opened the box to inspect it. I DIDN’T TOUCH IT….too risky. It may have vaporized & I would realize it was all a dream! In the time I spent there, talking photography, meeting the owner, Lee, & just taking in this neat and orderly all-business-but-with-charm neighborly camera dealer, I realized that I now had TWO trusted partners in my photographic joyride.
