I started my hobby last November after the birth of my grand daughter. I started buying supplies at a large train store on line. I live in the Lansdale area and was told to try Hennings. It was the best advise I ever received. The Hennings' Harry II, Bill and Harry III are the nicest people and have never let me down. I've bought new & used equipment & supplies including having trains repaired. Over the last year as I grow my layout they have endlessly helped me. Read moreWon’t be going back, not a place for beginners I guess. Went there to get basic starting set of track and transformer,was helped that day but seemed like I was more of a nuisance. Went back today for some accessories and 1 guy was on phone while another guy was standing behind counter. Guy standing walks in back , so I wait patiently and politely for person to get off phone. Guy hangs up phone and about same time a regular customer walks in door and walks up to counter and talks to Buddy about his needs. Was like I wasn’t even in building, that’s okay won’t go back , they don’t care, heading next weekend...
Read moreThis train shop was great. I went the day after Thanksgiving for help with setting up an HO train set under my mom's Christmas tree. It was a very hard thing for me to do as this was something that my dad did every year, Thanksgiving was the first anniversary of his passing, and it was the only thing my mom was asking for for Christmas. The staff at Henning's was very patient with me and incredibly helpful. They found the right parts that I needed at very reasonable prices, and they offer continued support if I wasn't able to get it to work myself. I would recommend this...
