White Jasmin Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Lansdale

The service was good in general, they were very welcoming and timely addressed my need, I needed to replace my dinning dishes several times during the meals but the waitress was quite patient. Although they missed a dish in my order, it was quickly done and served. About the food, the general taste was a bit too sour for me, from Tom Yum, to Papaya salad and Thai chicken wings. They all needed to add more umami, salty and sweet flavors to balance the taste for a whole meal. Pad Thai was what I really expected but it turned out not as good as I had waited for. The topping only included tofu and beansprout, and shrimp ($4 added), doesn’t look or taste too appealing too. I would recommend creamy Tom Yum since the looks and the taste both satisfying. Be aware that all the protein options for most dishes will cost a few dollars more ($4 ad I rmb). The space is quite small, I would not recommend for larger group than 4 dinning at once. Can’t believe I’ve never been here until now. The food is fabulous. Started out with vegetarian summer rolls, expecting them to be like a fried spring roll. Nope. They were perfect little salads of cucumber, cabbage, carrots, lettuce and papaya encased in a transparent wrap and accompanied by a perfect Thai peanut sauce. Best salad ever!!!

My entree was a delicate Masaman Curry with chicken and it was perfect. Sweet onions and peppers, toasted peanuts, perfectly cooked potatoes and thinly sliced chicken. I loved it.

My companion ordered the Poor Man’s Noodles with chicken, and it was also excellent. He’s not a big fan of creamy sauces, so the broth like sauce on this dish was perfect for him. I did taste it and it was delicious.

We both had Thai Ice Tea aka dessert with our late lunch/early dinner. It was sweet but not too sweet and very refreshing.

It’s a charming little place and we will definitely be back to try...

Ordered takeout on a Thursday night. Food took about 45 minutes.( They're also on doordash, but I really really hate paying the upcharge on food, services, delivery, and tip)

My husband ordered the spicy Thai basil fried rice with tofu. He said it was delicious, he was very happy with the order.

I ordered the masaman curry with chicken. It was so good! All of the flavors and spices blended together so perfectly. AND it was a large serving size (see photo of curry container with cherry tomato for scale).

We also shared the eggroll appetizer which was delicious 🤤.

We finished everything, and then I realized- this restaurant does not utilize plastic packaging for take out.. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. We will definitely be putting White Jasmine Thai Cuisine on our monthly rotation!
