I've been going to the beach since I was born. Things have changed during the last 33 yrs but it still brings back a lot of childhood memories. Between my family we have held at least 2 birthday parties per family member at the park at lantana beach and countless weekend barbeques. The swing set and play area have been upgraded many times over the years each time becoming "safer" aka "less fun" for kids. This was unavoidable because we are a nation of lawsuits. The beach itself is just as beautiful as you would expect an east coast Florida beach to be. I highly recommend this beach to anyone visiting. If you're a county resident you need to get your beach pass otherwise you pay to park. Oddly enough they accept credit cards and change but not dollar bills. Again a great place...
Read moreAlthough a very, very small beach, when visiting three times while on vacation last week we found there to always be plenty of room. Not only is the beach beautiful but the parking is only $1.50/hour which we found to be shockingly low. Beach advises there is a lifeguard on duty, but we did not see a lifeguard station/shack anywhere. Beware of large rocks within the water however. Read moreWe arrived at the beach around 11 am. This was nice and early stayed for about 1 and a half. I found a good spot, and my children and hubby played in the waves. There was lots of seaweed on the beach and my hubby, and my oldest son complained about rocks in the water, but mother nature is what it is. This was a beautiful experience.
