I live very close to this place and used to bring my mom pizza here it was our local spot. I was friendly with Moshe, waitressed and staff. There is one blonde bartender, who is always very rude. She wouldn’t allow us to use Apple Pay, even though we had done so before and despite us being always friendly, happy and cooperative, complementing her in such, she was always rough around the edges cursing on the job and saying mean things to the patrons I bring. One of the waitresses told me she is “special” One night after ordering pizza to go, I went to Publix and return to a fight in the parking lot. They w were demoralizing him and bullying him, asking him if they needed to hold his hand because he owed everyone in their apology.” I asked what he did wrong, and they continually said “he knows.” I tried to break up the fight and realize that it was my neighbor who I had to come with. I tried to break up the fight by yelling “no fighting” I told them to stop fighting and called 911. The moment I called 911 my friend was then punched and beaten in the parking lot. Badly. I ran over to get the guy off of him. His very large girlfriend girlfriend choked me up against the car. Ice cream for my life I was so scared. The bartender with the raspy voice came out. Crying and screaming on the ground I said .”you did this! You sent them to beat us!” She stated, “ you didn’t get beat.” Why would she deny this? When the police arrived I told them I was choked. She yelled “you ain’t never been choked..” the manager came out and told us we were gonna longer welcome. I did nothing wrong. I was beat to a pulp by their employee and then told by the manager I was trust passing. I tip extremely well. They’re very nice and I’m a regular patron. I’ve never been in a fight and I would never do this sort of activity. My throat still hurts from the choking, and my friend suffered a blackeye which remained for days. I still don’t know their story but the police told me if I ever go there again it’s trespassing. They lied and said that I was mean the police even said they have it on video me waving and hugging the staff upon entrance that’s how friendly I was this place is a horrible place filled with bad people. Although our justice system gave us no justice I would ask do you not go here and support these evil...
Read moreI have been coming here for a couple years now. I live here full time and think the kitchen staff is great. On occasion I buy the kitchen a round just to show my appreciation for them.
When asked if the bartender could turn on the 1 of 3 tv's so that I could watch the Florida Panthers game she declined saying that there was an issue last Thursday because the TV was on....
Then I wanted to have a old fashion, and she proceeded to attempt to make an old fashion. I remember from times past that she hasn't a clue nor the resources to make this drink, so I asked for bourbon and gran marnier, to make it easy on her.
Tonight Melissa decided it was a good idea and a good decision on behalf of Art Basil to charge me an astounding 44.00 for 2 drinks. Which includes 13.00 for a shot of bourbon, 6.00 for a shot of gran marnier and a 3.00 upcharge for a "Manhattan" (which was a slice of orange and a cherry).
After ordering my first drink, I asked how much she was charging me and she blew it off and said "I could afford it". After receiving my check I let her know that I was not pleased with the price she charged me for the beverage, she couldn't care less.
So no tv at the bar for the customers, cant make an old fashion to save her life, why would anyone want to be here?????
Lost a customer for life today, if this is how you treat your locals the tourists should beware. There are many places to spend my time and money in around here. I discourage anyone...
Read moreWe came in, hoping to sit outside, but we were told they were closing early tonight, so they had the outdoor seating closed off. It wasn’t nearly as cold inside as I anticipated, so we were perfectly comfortable. We looked at the menu and it was nothing like it looked online! So the items we were thinking of having weren’t all on the menu.
Our server asked us if we wanted garlic bread, so we said sure even though we didn’t know if they were free or being charged for them. We started off with the meatballs appetizer. They were a very nice size and came with two seasoned toasted bread. The meatballs had a very nice consistency, the sauce was really nice, and even the toasted bread was delicious. The garlic rolls he brought out were dry and flavorless…don’t waste your time or appetite on them free or not. I can’t say enough to tell you just how amazingly delicious the beggars purse were! The sauce is kind of sweet, but enough savory to balance it. The pasta feels fresh and the peas were cooked to perfection! It may not have been my first choice when there were so many other things I thought I was choosing from, but I’m extremely happy we ended up getting them!
Our server as well as the other staff we encountered were extremely friendly and the food came out fast. I would absolutely come back!
Just to clarify, this probably would have been a 5 star for me overall if the seating issue followed by menu not what is posted online and terrible garlic rolls...
