“Amazing ice cream, but customer service left us feeling overlooked.”

They say “it’s not what someone says, it’s how they make you feel.” 💭 On this beautiful Labor Day weekend 🇺🇸, the experience unfortunately made us feel like we didn’t matter.

The Ice Cream Club in Manalapan truly shines when it comes to ice cream 🍦. The flavors are outstanding — creamy, fresh, and full of variety. It’s the kind of place you want to keep coming back to for the product alone.

That said, the customer service hasn’t matched the same level of excellence 🙁. I even turned to my wife and asked, “Was it me, or was she kind of standoffish and rude?” She replied, “It hasn’t been the first time. You should probably do a review at this point.”

I always leave a tip 💵, but not this time. That says it all. Hopefully this review serves as constructive feedback ✍️, because with a more welcoming and attentive approach, The Ice Cream Club could easily turn an already great product into a true five-star...

Nice place. Outdoor seating was pleasant - temperature wise after the sun goes down. (The chairs are uncomfortable though.) There are lots of frozen offerings. I was looking for their no-sugar-added ice cream, of which they only had two available at the time, not the plethora of flavors shown on their website. Both were unusual flavors which I don’t care for. It would be nice if one of them was vanilla or chocolate... So, I had the frozen yogurt which was ok. Husband asked for the best tasting vanilla they had, but the clerk had no suggestion. He picked one and thought it was so-so. Then he went back and got a scoop of pistachio which again, he said was just alright. Friend had a scoop of butter pecan ice cream and said there was only one little nut in it. I love this Ice Cream place and tried to go in this afternoon at 4:25 pm with a friend. There were 4 customers waiting and the employee asked if we could all wait 10 to 15 minutes while he decided to mop the floor during business hours. I understand that if someone spilled something you may need to clean up a small area of the floor but the entire floor does not need to be done while people wait outside in the heat. At least 4 or 5 customers walked away to go to another establishment. That being said the ice cream is delicious and I don’t want to be a Karen but really wanted this ice...
