Recreation, Parks and Arts Administration — Attraction in Largo

The people at Largo's park district department are amazing! Each day my dog and I go "Paw Place" at North East Park in Largo. It in itself is an amazingly huge and beautiful park. Completely fenced in and lush with walking paths, beautiful flora and a great open field for the dogs to run and play. It is complete with a waste bag dispenser, ample trash cans, a watering station for our canines and benches for their owners. No wonder it is used by so many people, most quite responsible when it comes to control of their dogs and clean up.

The park needed a bit of attention, mainly due to use by so many pets. I reached out to the director of parks and rec who immediately had the Parks Supervisor-Urban Forestry contact me personally. He genuinely took an interest and assured me maintenance was already scheduled for the beginning of 2024. To my surprise, I walked in on 12/14/23 and it was done, and an amazing job at that. What a great example of under promising and over delivering. The work Largo's park district crew did had to be quite costly and it was all completed in a single day.
