I decided to eat here after looking at the reviews from other local Thai restaurants including the public inspection reports. Placing my order over the phone was simple and convenient. I was able to make some small adaptations to my order which was wonderful. I was informed that my food would be ready in 15 minutes. This timing was perfect since that's exactly how long my drive would be. When I arrived, there was a large parking lot with other establishments in it. I entered into the restaurant and noticed an older dusty fish tank to my right. The atmosphere was dimly lit and matched the ambiance. There were plenty of guests dining in that seemed to be enjoying their meal. It smelled like the staff had been cleaning with Fabuloso or something very similar in scent. Point is, I could smell their cleaning supplies and that makes me believe that they are maintaining a cleaning regimen at their location. I did not see it right away but while waiting for my food I saw multiple big bottles of it on the floor in what looked like their open storage area. I ordered Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to eat my food on my lunch break because it was over by the time I returned to work. In addition to the 15 minute quoted wait prior to my arrival I had to wait an additional 15 plus minutes after I arrived as my food was not ready. Soy sauce was not automatically provided so do ask for some if you want to make sure that you receive it.

My father and I have been loyal customers of Thai Bay Basil & Sushi Restaurant for the past six months, visiting once a month—and each experience is better than the last. While the exterior may be unassuming, stepping inside feels like entering a cultural wonderland. The vibrant décor, colorful ambiance, and deep respect for Thai traditions immediately transport you. We both adore Thai food, and this restaurant delivers with authentic flavors that are hard to find. From sushi rolls to Thai stir-fried dishes, cold plates, and even low-carb menu options, everything we've tried has been outstanding. Their spring rolls are a must-try, and I'm especially fond of their Thai tea and fried eggplant—absolutely delicious! What truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the staff. We’re always greeted with a cheerful “hello, honey” and a genuine smile from a server who feels more like family. The service is consistently exceptional, and the staff’s joy and hospitality make each visit feel like a celebration. We make it a point to sit in different spots each time to enjoy the unique atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The attention to detail—from fish tanks to intricately designed plates—adds to the charm. Thai Bay Basil & Sushi Restaurant has become more than a dining spot; it’s a place of comfort, joy, and connection for us. If you haven’t been yet, go—and be ready to fall in love with both the food and the people.

Good hot Thai food. We ordered to go, their menu has changed since the last time I visited a few years ago. I tried to find their menu online to call in an order but they no longer have a website and no one had it posted. The menu is huge now. Some photos attached. I like how th hey put photos next to th he foods so you'll get an idea of what you're ordering. I didn't get the entire menu, but it does have most of it. Drove down, ordered to go and it was ready in about 20 minutes (big order). Everything was really fresh, hot and good except the spring rolls (tasted prepackaged from the freezer). The Coconut soup (I forget what its called) was excellent. We had 2 orders of red curry (mild) and 1 order of green curry (hot). All excellent, with plenty for leftovers the next day. Inside the restaurant, its small but seating is comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated (no changes). Great place for date night. We enjoyed the food so much we had to get some more a few days later. Added them back to my speed dial for more. Hope this helps. UPDATE ate lunch inside and it was Amazing. Beautifully garnished, hot, delicious, delicate, 5 STARS. Lunch you get soup and spring rolls w dipping sauce, a long with a nice sized portion of main entree. Waitstaff was quick , friendly, and customer focused. We'll eat inside more often.

This used to be one of my favorite spots for sushi, the rolls were full and fresh and priced right.. I’m not sure if they changed sushi chefs for lunch or what’s going on but the last few times I’ve been the rolls have been all rice and today not kiddding I didn’t even have fish in the two end pieces and the others had such a small amount and cucumber and avocado added to a roll that normally wouldn’t have any, I assume to hide the fact that it didn’t have any fish.. I left my roll turned up and Uneaten in hopes that the servers who ignored me nearly my whole lunch and water glass empty would notice and mention it to the chef. My egg rolls were cold, they didn’t even bring my son a water at all for our whole meal, and the staff seemed to be scrambling and short handed today..I would have left my review in person but I couldn’t get a water let alone the server to stop to listen to anything I had to say today. I assume it’s because the girl I normally have there didn’t appear to be there or possibly was back working the kitchen. Keep in mind I order from here multiple nights a week and I stop in for the lunch special at least once or twice a week. Overall disappointed in the food and service today.. and since this wasn’t the first time and I just kept giving it a chance and played it off to be maybe an off day for them... after today I will not be back.. there are many great sushi options in this same area, go down the road for full rolls and great service.. four mins down the road...

The restaurant’s decor is the most it has going for it. The service was also fast but food is some of the worst Thai I’ve had. The drunken noodles could probably change their name to drunken bell peppers because it’s 50% almost raw bell peppers. I can eat one or two, but not a whole plate of them! I know they overdo them, so I asked for drunken noodles with vegetables and tofu, light bell peppers. Bell peppers were the only vegetable I received and definitely not light. I had to throw away 1/2 my plate of food because it was all bell peppers. Why? No other Thai restaurant does this. My friend got the green curry which was also a plate of bell peppers and green beans and a few carrots that were 1/4 the size of the other vegetables. I was embarrassed to have brought my friend here. The sushi was genuinely the worst I’ve ever had. I got a chefs specialty roll and it was 1/2 filled with RICE! Rice goes on the outside of sushi not inside! So horrible. All I could taste was cream cheese and rice. Best part of my meal was the steamed edamame by far 🤦‍♀️

I was conflicted about leaving this review, but after reading reviews about people getting metal and multiple bugs in their food and management only responds with “sorry” rather than “please come back so you can get your money back.” That tells me everything I need to know about what must be going on in that kitchen. They like it’s commonplace! I won’t be...
