Sadly, we can not say this was enjoyable. The fact you’re forced to go in groups with people you don’t know while you’re paying for the “skip the line” price, it was completely unenjoyable and a waste of money. I’m sure GLAD the ONE GIRL, in front of my husband and me, with her GROUP OF 4, got to enjoy every single scare, while we drove in from Phoenix to be behind 4 women and not get anything but “walking past the actor” after they did their pop out on person #1. If you wanna be cheap and force people to go in groups of four and six with people that they didn’t pay to be with, then at least make the attraction for everybody and not just for the first person walking through. We feel like you stole our money at this point as we experienced NOTHING! WE WILL SAY, GO TO HALLOWEEN MAZE! WOW what an experience there! We will drive in every year for Halloween Maze! We went in just us, it was spaced out not another scare group in sight, you get to choose your scare level, and everything is top notch. We hoped for more with asylum but unfortunately we will not recommend and wish they didn’t get a penny of our money after getting nothing but the back end of a group of four! UPDATE: And since the person that responded is completely “unprofessional and defensive” instead of addressing the fact that when people pay “105.00 for a haunt”, they should be allowed to go as the couple they are. It is completely outrageous that any owner or manager would even respond with “we hear people love watching other people get scared” well GENIOUS in case you didn’t know, I don’t go to a haunted house to watch other people be scared, if I wanted to watch other people do things I would go to a theater!!!!!! You know where you SIT AND WATCH! SECONDLY, I attached my receipt since you felt so offended we said another haunt was better! And they were way busier than you, so there’s zero excuse for your lack of a haunt experience! Third, DO BETTER! Next time from one owner to another learn how to respond to your complaints with a “proactive approach” as well as listening to your consumers instead of just being a plain old ARSEhole!!! Better way would have been to reach out to find out how you could do better… but hey some people like to be mediocre. OK thanks pumpkin for your reply! You showed your consumers exactly why you’re sending emails begging for reviews! We weren’t even gonna write a review until you wrote us an email begging for a review and explaining why you get such bad one star reviews and you need people to drown those out… Guess that backfired!

My boyfriend and I went with a friend and his girlfriend Halloween night. It was kinda a last minute thing. We were gonna go the night before Halloween (Hallows Eve) but didn't end up having time so decided on going Halloween night. Which We should of bought tickets that night because on Halloween night they were $50.00 a person online for the fast pass. Which I don't really think it was worth $50.00 a person. But I will say having the fast pass is better than having to stand in line for who knows how long. Online you buy tickets for a specific time slot which ors was 9pm and you have to be there 15 minutes early it says. So we got there around 8:45pm waited for our friends for like 5 mins then got through security and were in line for the first Haunted House then waited in that line for like I don't know 5 mins then went through that Haunted House and then went to the other one and waited in line for like another 5 mins and got through that one. When it was all said and done it was like 9:45pm. So they were super fast. But I guess it was better than just sitting at home and doing nothing. It was just something to do for the night. It would of probably been better and scarier if your a younger child. But there was one good part on the second Haunted House (The Asylum) it was when you walked across this like bridge it looked like and the while room around you was spinning that was pretty trippy. If you've gone ithink you'll know what I'm trying to say. Lol!! Anyways, I guess over all if your just looking to have a fun night out with some friends around Halloween time then definitely check these Haunted Houses out but if you want to not pay as much then go before Halloween night or just buy your tickets online beforehand. 🤪

Asylum and Hotel Fear Haunted House Growing up, I lived on cheesy zombie and horror movies. I have since loved horror movies and anything that can be scary. During my time at Universal Studios Hollywood, I was able to continuously attend Halloween Horror Nights as well as other events like Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, Knott’s Scary Farm, and The Haunted Hayride. Now, coming here, I can honestly say I was only startled once, but there were so many aspects of this place that I truly enjoyed. They don’t have the huge budget here, but they have a desire and an intent to deliver a truly spooky evening. Not to mention, we arrived just before closing and they still let us enter! I say, come on down! There is security everywhere, it’s safe, and it’s fun. My wife and I even managed to talk to one of the guys after and he was friendly and very interested in feedback so that they can improve their experiences. If you find yourself walking in a spinning corridor with smoke sometime soon while you’re there, you’re welcome. The smoke was my idea. One final big thank you to the actors and staff of the Asylum and Hotel Fear! We will be back next October!

The guy with the ponytail with the white contacts was extremely rude and disrespectful and scream to the top of his lungs telling me to put my phone down as if I was a 5-year old kid instead of nicely asking noticing him yell at other customers as they approached I did not take him seriously no way in the right mind would another grown man talk to another man in front of other customers with such disrespect we brought 40 of them with us to experience the haunted house disrespecting somebody like that in public a group of my friends who got to the door before us we're also yelled at as if they were dealing with some abusive parents some of these comments I really doubt that they are generally from people instead of Staff I believe these are false reviews because I'm standing out in the cold with over a hundred people who was constantly complaining about how they were treated yelled at waiting in line for hours and disrespected immediately soon as they walk up the steps by the same two people once we walked into the door the young lady in the red screamed at us and said if you guys want a problem it can be a problem put ur phone away now and trust me when i say she screamed loud like a mental patient i mean just that we are like what are you talking about my phone is put up she aggressively approach to me. In my face and continue to scream again I had to keep my woman back off of her before any chaos started we was actually in shock. About how this young lady in the red was acting maybe she's on drugs who knows but this would not be the last report about it because we're sure this comment will be deleted so I will screenshot it and make sure it gets posted on other sites where it cannot be deleted we had two bus loads full of people we brought here she kept screaming if you guys want to problem it can be a problem the cell phone was just in my hand once I put it in my pocket she continued to talk to me as if I was her stepchild and I told her you are very rude very disrespectful we have plenty of witnesses and other people feel the same way you can reply back with whatever comment you wish just know we will continue to let the locals and tourists know how your staff gets down very rude very disrespectful the hunted house overall it was nice one of your staff members a young Asian guy very respectful very helpful and and apologized for her rude ways and the man who was running the front door very rude Outbursting in comments if somebody has a phone in their hand and they are not allowed in this place with them put signs up or just ask in a nice way you do not scream to the top of your lungs shut it off and yes I have it on video yes I have her screaming to the top of her lungs making threats on video as well and once again I am not speaking on all the staff only to the guy who is running the front door with the ponytail with the white contacts and veins all over his face and the young lady soon as you enter that was wearing the red who clearly was aggravated before we even answered we were so appalled at how she was screaming and yelling that we thought it was part of an act because nobody in their right mind who was younger than every last one of us people standing in front of her would talk to people like that who was guest and travel hundreds of miles to be there she was already in a bad mood but to tell your guests if you want some problems that it can be problems that's a threat.and will not be overlooked worse haunted house in history and they make you pick at least one star are you won't be able to post it and I'm also sure they will delete this post so it will be screen saved and posted all thru social media and other websites so everybody knows and hopefully your staff can have a meeting on how to handle and treat your guests way better than we were treated tonight a absolute disgrace you should be ashamed of yourself. I would recommend anger management classes and meds for a couple of your staff it is supposed to be a fun place not approaching somebody like you guys are violent races...

This is the absolute WORST “haunted house” experience I’ve ever had and that’s not an exaggeration. There was probably a minimum of 6 actors per house. We purchased the VIP experience and it was a complete waste. We were paired with another group so the jump scares were already done about 4 people ahead of us. There was no enthusiasm with the actors or the employees checking you in at the front door. Save your money seriously. I had high hopes for this place but after this experience I would honestly give it zero stars if I could. Complete waste of $95.

  • This is an update to my previous review since the owner wants to respond to every single low rated review from an overly defensive standpoint rather than accepting constructive criticism and utilizing it as feedback to better serve their customers/ audience in the future.

There was definitely less than 10 actors INSIDE your attraction that actually participated in the scares so my statement in saying there was a MINIMUM of 6 is accurate to MY visual account- maybe you actually had more but they were missing in action. I didn’t account for the 2 or 3 OUTSIDE because I was writing my review based on the experience INSIDE the house. To be more specific the lack of enthusiasm I was referring to was from the heavyset male sitting in the chair on the porch yelling at people (out of whatever character he was trying to portray) and attempting to make crass jokes about people in line he was singling out.

You cannot speak for other haunted attractions as you don’t have any affiliation to them, some business owners actually know how to operate their business efficiently.

I have done numerous haunted attractions in other states both on a large and small scale and have never once been paired up with people I didn’t attend with. So while it might shorten the wait time according to you, I merely stated that the VIP price point wasn’t worth it. If it had been stated on your website that patrons would be paired up with other patrons I would have reconsidered even attending yours while on vacation.

For you to make the assumption that my party didn’t “participate” or follow “directions” and take out of context what I wrote - I was referring to the 4 people DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. I guess I could have used those words specifically rather than saying the “people ahead”. Why would someone spend $95 and not participate in the experience as YOU state?

To reiterate my original review more accurately the 4 individuals directly in front of me got all the scares. My party never once tried to “lag behind” or “walk alone” a very poor assumption on your behalf.

There most certainly was NOT anything directed to the “center” of the entire group “by your own explanation”. So while you might have trained your employees with this standard it was NOT being used during MY experience and seeing that YOU were not physically there in my group YOU cannot speak on MY experience whatsoever.

If you had actually been monitoring groups or the doors like you stated then certainly you or your actors would have noticed people walking separately within a group exiting.

Also to add to this- we could hear the groups ahead of us and behind us the entire time something even the other people in our immediate group pointed out as well.

Perhaps YOU need to re-evaluate the way YOUR actors communicate inside and the whole timing of each group throughout the interior part of YOUR attractions by “monitoring” more than just the “outside” and the “doors”.

As a reminder these “reviews” are just that- they are based on the paying customers experiences which we are all entitled to leave for any business. Maybe try not to take everything so personal and instead accept them as constructive feedback and use it to improve your attraction or consider hiring someone with a background in PR to follow up with your guests because it’s very evident that you lack the...
