KU's ISS is so cheap. I've never heard of a school charging students for applying for OPT, especially when they already collect significant fees from international students. I didn't have to pay these fees before transferring from Notre Dame. They're also notorious for making OPT/CPT difficult for non-STEM students. Their greed is shocking—they even have their own payment portal! This really surprised me, as most schools' ISS offices don't charge...

International Student Services at KU has a wonderful staff of immigration advisors. They are all very friendly and extremely helpful. These are some of the very first people you meet when you arrive at the University of Kansas as they are involved in orientation as well as the International Student Check-In process.
