There are so many marvelous things about the KU Natural History Museum!
My children and I have always loved going there, I did before I even had children myself. Letting the kiddo's minds wander about various things throughout our world, both current and in the past is truly wonderful. It sparks fantastic conversation. They also love the souvenir shop.
Awesome displays of different habitats and taxidermy. A few stations where you can actually pet the fur of different animals. In the summer they have a large hive of bees that you can see into!

The collection is vast and varied, with everything from fossils and minerals to taxidermy and shells. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the specimens and the level of detail in the displays. I also appreciated the interactive exhibits, which made learning about the different specimens fun and engaging. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend KU Natural History Museum--Dyche Hall to anyone interested in natural history and geology. It's definitely a must-see for anyone visiting...
