Love the atmosphere but worst parking set up. Have been to all the home football games for 2022 so far and the sell out crowds were a challenge to the staff. I walked into the metal detector with a metal cane and my knee brace and initially told to remove them. It took a minute for another sataff member to come sort it out. Concessions at the forst home game ran out of items.in the first quarter, but concessions have gotten better. General service and communications can be improved as well. Witnessed an elderly man fall and hit his head and become unconscious. EMTs never made it into the stands to help. We called 911 and gave them our seat locations. But after 15 min he came around and a couple of police officers showed up, but just waved him to come lower and fornately his wife and bystanders assisted him. Over all the games have been a great game experience, but better planning and...
Read moreThis is a historic football stadium, which is to say it has history and it is old. I graduated from KU here, so it is meaningful to me. I have been to several football games here, including some with my son’s fraternity. It is always a special event, but it is more about the spirit of the university and the good people than it is about the actual facility.
It is nice that we have a competitive football team these days. A big shout out to Coach Leipold, his staff and the players. Rock Chalk!
There are planned big upgrades which are about to start which should improve the fan experience. It likely will bump up the rating.

Read moreThe end zone is the best overall, like sections 10-15, or near the band, but avoid the student section unless you're a student. If you have kids try for the family area section 20-23 (cheap) or 1-10 (expensive). The visiting team tends to get section 24-25. In afternoon games, you'll get shade earlier in sections 1-10 on the west side.
A great stadium overall, but the athletic program priorities are a bit off. Before the jumbotron that blocked off student hill, we needed a redesign of seating , a lateral walkway around the stadium without going back down to the concourse, more handicap accessibility besides one elevator, more local food vendors, whom are amazing... and maybe a return to actual academics for our "student" althetes that doesn't involve buying off grades. Everyone...
