Keenly Bridal & Prom — Attraction in Leadington

i was completed disappointed and frustrated in my keenly experience. I had went in feburary to shop for my senior prom dress. this was my first time using keenlys, and they had so many beautiful dresses. the employees were nice when helping, but like many other reviews I felt as though they were bothered to help. I found a dress that ended up being absolutely perfect, but a little out of my price range so i put it on layaway and was told i could come back for my alteration measurments when I come back to make my next payment. The alterations I needed were tighter straps, bigger bra cups, and of course it needed hemmed. my dress cost $800 after alterations. after I came in for my measurements, i never heard back from keenly unless i contacted them. i had no updates on my dress or an estimate of when it would be ready. a fellow friend had also bought their dress from keenlys, and she had called to see when her dress would be done. they told her that she had to wait till the week of prom in april to pick up her dress. I found this slightly frustrating as the weeks leading up to prom are extremely busy, but i figured that they have limited hands and i would at least get a final fitting and progress updates, which we did not. the week of prom both me and my friend were trying to get ahold of keenlys about our dresses, and the attitude of the employees answering the phone was completely unnecessary. I felt as though we were a burden for simply wanting to pick up our dress. my grandmother called completely upset because they were so dismissive and rude. I finally got my dress the tuesday before prom, and that was the first time i tried it on since i had gotten measured. Waiting till the week of prom for a “final fitting” is so unprofessional, as any sort of error in alteration has very little time to be fixed. And sure enough, prom night my dress completely fell apart as though I were cinderella. My strap popped off, my bra cup completely came out of my dress, and my hemmed became unstitched. I was completely and utterly embarrassed as i had to safety pin and adjust myself in front of everyone. mind you, these were all things that keenly has altered, the actual dress held up excellently. also the corset of the dress was completely see through, so that made it harder to hide the fact my bra cup was completely floating around in my dress. my grandmother had to carry around a sewing kit and constantly sew me into the dress because otherwise it would fall apart. again, i had spent $800 on this dress with alterations. i felt as though this was because of last minute work, and if a final fitting a week or so before would have prevented this. and also, i was originally forced to leave a 5 star review in order to receive my garment bag, otherwise i had to pay an additional $10. every dress shop i have been to includes a free garment bag, so this appears to me as a money hungry move. i sincerely wish that this company makes drastic improvements in customer service. i definitely do not see myself using keenlys in the future, and do NOT recommend to...

I would NOT recommend. Long review. My husband picked up his tux on a Thursday afternoon. After he arrived home with it I noticed right away it was not the right color. So I tried calling the store on repeat with no answer and couldn’t leave a message due to the store’s voicemail box being full. I was very busy with wedding stuff and had no time to waste but continued to keep calling for hours. Friday I was still very busy with wedding stuff but started calling right away. Finally someone answers and the girl was nice and admitted to the mistake of marking J or Jade instead of emerald (just like the bridesmaid dress they took with them to color match and order the tuxes). She said she would have her boss call me back in 30 min. 45 min. later after no call back I started calling again on repeat and still couldn’t leave a voicemail. After a couple hours I finally get through and they said there was nothing they could do. So the day of the wedding while the photographer is taking pictures of the first look there is a rip in the seam of the grooms pants. Time was wasted fixing that problem. The men couldn’t wear their vest, bow ties or pocket squares due to them being the wrong color. We were very upset. Then we went to drop off tuxes the following Tuesday. We asked for them to make it right in some way. The girl said there was nothing she could do so I asked to talk to the owner. She asked us to wait and went to the back. She came back and said the boss was too busy to talk to us. I told her I was in no hurry and would just wait and that I thought it was rude and unprofessional she couldn’t spare a few minutes to talk to us after spending almost a couple thousand dollars on renting tuxes. So then she comes out. She was rude and unprofessional the whole time. She said they don’t always answer their phone because they don’t have to and that their voicemail box is full because they never ever call anyone back. Ummm ok. So then she goes on to tell us that it was our fault that the codes which are very important to them were put down wrong. Ummm no that is their mistake we picked the color and she marked the wrong code. I get it accidents happen but don’t blame the customer for your mistake. Own it and make it right. After getting no where with her trying to manipulate us we asked if she would cover the cost of the stuff not worn (vest $40, bowtie $17 or $18 and no clue on the pocket square) there was 6 tuxes. She wrote a check for $150 leaving each guy getting $25 back. Also the mother of the groom wrote a review and 1 other from the wedding party and they replied back very rude and are not on this review page. Further actions...

First off I want to say Thomas was AMAZING and wished he would have assisted when we first walked in the door. I was hoping to give my friend the bridal experience, we weren't looking for a Kleinfeild experience, but at least a good memory for her. This was far from it. We told the girl, I didn't get her name but she was blonde with dark roots, our price range, and that if we found a dress we would be buying it off the rack. We were shown where the dresses were that were in her budget and she walked off, not helping us in anyway and giving just a broad spectrum of her size, which wasn't even close to what we ended up getting. When we found 3 dresses for her to try on , the sales lady showed us to a fitting room and was like, "Here you go." I asked if she was going to help her with the dresses and her reply was, "Oh, I thought you were." And then walking away. Well, if you have never tried a wedding dress on before they are hard to get on and off, and some of them were a little complicated to figure out and a couple we tried to but couldn't. We finally found one dress the actual size, finally, that would fit her and I know she liked the dress, but I feel like she settled on it, getting in and out of them with a person that doesn't know nothing about them either can be quite tiring. Now this was what made me mad. There was another lady there with her daughter looking for a flower girl's dress. This sales lady was helping her out and the lady and two other people were just sitting in the chairs and this little girl tried on dress after dress. The lady then goes well we like so and so dress so we will buy from the manufacturer is it okay to have it sent here. That's when Thomas came out asking my friend if she wanted a veil and really helped her find the perfect one to match her dress. Thomas helped her find a bra for her dress and everything. I sure hope Thomas gets the commission for the sale. But this experience was exhausting for me and the bride. We just decided to go home after it. It was a bit discouraging to find her a dress she was in love with instead of finding a dress that was pretty and that she did like. I know she felt a little defeated once we left.
