Adventure Park Review
During the Memorial Day weekend, my family and I decided to explore the adventure park, and we were immediately captivated by the impressive ride perched on the mountainside, overlooking the breathtaking valley. However, our experience had its share of highs and lows.
One notable aspect that caught our attention was the varying wait times, depending on the day and time of our visit. Unfortunately, we found ourselves enduring an hour-long wait to embark on the ride. The park offers both individual ride tickets and bundle options for three rides, with the latter being slightly cheaper per ride. However, it's crucial to be aware of an important caveat. If you opt for the bundled ticket, you must utilize all three rides before the park's closing time. Furthermore, if the wait times are lengthy, you're required to queue again after completing a ride, effectively starting from the back of the line. This system resembles the procedures typically found at ski resorts such as Stevens. Initially, we purchased the bundle but eventually realized the wait time was excessive. Luckily, the staff was courteous and accommodating, promptly refunding our purchase when we requested to switch to a single ride ticket.
Regarding the ride itself, it was undeniably enjoyable but left us yearning for more. The ascent to the top took longer than the descent, and while you have control over the sled's speed by applying or releasing the brakes, the experience lacked the intense adrenaline rush associated with roller coasters' formidable G-forces and rapid speed. Safety measures were in place, with riders securely strapped in, including young riders at the front of the two-person sled. Bumpers were also fitted to the sleds to prevent collisions. However, it's worth noting that the park emphasizes maintaining a safe distance between riders to ensure everyone's well-being. The equipment appeared to be in excellent condition, likely due to the facility being relatively new and featuring brand-new sleds. All in all, we felt the ride was disappointingly short, especially considering the potentially extensive wait times. If the ride were twice as long, it would be an unequivocal recommendation; nonetheless, as a one-time thrill, it still manages to deliver some fun. Undoubtedly, the views from atop the ride were absolutely stunning.
It's important to mention that the adventure park does not feature a restaurant on-site. Instead, there's a small snack cafe where you can purchase food to enjoy while waiting. The cleanliness of the facilities and restrooms was commendable. Additionally, the park offers extra activities such as bundle jumping and rock wall climbing; however, we regrettably did not have the opportunity to try them. Keep in mind that these additional activities require separate tickets and are not included with the ride.
To summarize, our visit to the adventure park had its pros and cons. The ride itself was enjoyable but disappointingly short, and the wait times could become quite lengthy. However, the accommodating nature of the park staff when we requested a ticket change was a positive aspect of our experience. If you're seeking a one-time thrill with stunning views, a visit to this park is still worth considering. Just be prepared for the possibility of feeling slightly underwhelmed due to the ride's brevity and the potential...
Read moreParking Lot Manager on a power trip. Dude thinks he is a cop and thinks he has power over people. Kicked out party of 12 saying their staff was yelled at. The whole thing started over wrist bands that need to be gotten before the ride. Show up and it is a zoo with no signage of what the process. We assume the tickets are our receipts and head to the line. The sign up stairs was facing the wrong way once entered into where you board the ride. One of our party looked back and noticed the sign about the wrist bands. 3 members of our party, 1 from each family went downstairs for instructions on what was needed. They called from downstairs and were instructed to hold our spots in line and come down get the wrist band and meet back in the line where we were. We do as instructed no issues. Wait in line until next to board and the parking lot attendant appears behind us standing over one of the moms. Says we need to get out of line and go with him. OK, maybe an issue with billing or something. Since only 3 members went downstairs we weren't sure if he meant the 3 people who went downstairs. He said all family members were to exit the line. We comply and are told we were all identified on camera for yelling at staff and he doesn't have to give us a refund but will. He cant specify who was identified and says all 12 members were identified by the employee. Question him how we all were pointed out when we didn't even all go downstairs at that time. He responded that we were also being kicked out for cutting the line. Told him it was the employee that directed us to do that and they should have a conversation with the employee that directed us to do that so this misunderstanding doesn't happen in the future. He said he isn't having this conversation and he threatens to not give us a refund on the tickets and refusing to give my wife back her bag if we question what is happening. While asking for explanation how all 12 people were yelling at employees that he said were identified by an employee on camera when nobody yelled at anybody He is staring down my son and smirking at him while threatening to call the police for questioning the situation. If you want to accuse us of something we didn't do and stare down my child like you wish you had some kind of power, I'll give you what you want. I lit him up yelling at him to make the scene he said happened. He threatened to call the police and keep our money. Go do that. Now you have the scene you wanted. Don't threaten us with our refund, my wife's belongings or trying to intimidate my child. As with anybody who has no real power in their life, he did none of the things he threatened. No, police were called, we were all processed refunds and he returned my wife's belongings. None of this needed to get to this point. This place is a pathetic joke you can tell by the other low reviews. Owner only responds to positive reviews ,so this will go nowhere, but don't waste your time, money, or potential injury to your kids. I've read other reviews where people's children were injured due to employee grabbing and yaking them out of the carts or...
Read moreGosh, I dont normally post negative reviews but man talk about a cluster and an embarrassing experience on a family vacation. Maybe because they are sick of tourists? Long story short, we had a party of three families, totaling 11. Our family was 5 - we got there before our time, had digital tickets and stood in line. The signage to tell people they needed wrist bands was flipped so we didn't see it until about 20 minutes after standing in line. Three of the moms went down to the front counter to ask if the digital tickets worked or if bands were required because we didn't see anything until we were in line for 20 minutes. The clerk stated yes, bands were required - we told her we didn't see any signs so we didn't know until we saw the back of the flipped sign. She told us there were several signs and everyone needed bands. We didn't want to argue about not seeing a single sign so then we called and told everyone to come back down. The clerk said no need to send everyone, they could save the place in line and send people down in groups to save the spot in line. So that's what we did. After getting bands, waiting again in line and ready to load, we were all pulled out of line because someone in our group (they never actually said who) yelled at a staff member? We asked if they were sure it was our group because nobody yelled at anyone. They said we were pointed out on camera by the staff person, and that we also cut in line (staff told us to do it this way, remember we were going to pull everyone originally, they told us not to). When we admittedly were confused and embarassed and went down to the counter, the guy that pulled us out of line started then arguing with us about calling the police and trespassing us because we were asking why we were getting kicked out?! He said he didn't need a reason and we were lucky to get a refund because he could just kick us out, for what, I'm still not sure. I think what happened was someone complained that they thought we cut in line and instead of saying, oh we told them to do that, they pulled us out of line to make an example. I don't know how things escalated to the level of kicking three families out and for "yelling" at the front counter staff. Especially when nobody yelled at anyone and the clerk helping us was the same person told us to hold our place in line is the exact reason we were kicked out. So odd. The guy who pulled the families out of line was smirking, confrontational, and loved the power. I'm guessing it was his attempt to try and protect his staff who must have felt some kind of way but he had a really bad method of going about it. He got in people's faces, smirked when he was asked direct questions, and refused to even tell us what happened and why. I've never been to the Adventure Park before and there are 11 of us, with children, who will never recommend or go back. The whole thing could have been prevented with better communication, accountability, and...
