Our family stayed at the Enzian Inn from Tuesday, Aug. 6 – Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024. The best word I can use to describe the Enzian?: Wholesome.
This place was absolutely perfect for my wife and I to share many memories with our 7-year-old and 4-year-old. Walking the halls, you might think the property is a little dated but don’t let it fool you. The furniture, comfy beds, and wood work will alert you to the fact that it is a very nice hotel. And even if it doesn’t, the Enzian has the ultimate intangible…charm.
Although it was our first time visiting Leavenworth, the Enzian just feels like a place that is familiar and tight-knit. People come back year after year and we found out why. Both pools are awesome. They are spacious, long, and comfortable. The outdoor pool had such a great vibe as we made new friends and really enjoyed both the mornings and evenings reading our books poolside while our kids splashed. The hot tubs are nice as well with the indoor one being my favorite.
The breakfast is as good as advertised. Not only is it delicious but just the atmosphere itself is so homey and nice. The Alporn concert is a nice touch and the people who play them are so gracious and kind. The downstairs family room was utilized immensely by the four of us. We played ping pong, pool, skee-ball, and shuffleboard while catching bits and pieces of the movies and eating way too much of the popcorn. One night we even ordered pizza and ate it in the family room just because we enjoyed it so much.
The golf course is immaculate and such a unique amenity that is offered with the room rate. We played the course three times. The location is superb. You walk a couple hundred yards and you are smack dab in downtown Leavenworth. The rooms themselves are nice. We had a pool balcony room and I loved the natural sunlight that would fill our room. The refrigerator is small but at least there is something to keep your drinks cool. My favorite aspect of the room was the luxurious shower.
Even though it was our first time at the Enzian Inn, there is no debate about it, the place is special. If you have a family and are looking for a vacation spot, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Enzian Inn. The value and experience won’t...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible stay, well worth the drive and the money. If you're coming out to Leavenworth and unsure where to stay, don't overthink it; book the Enzian. We had a bridal suite, and it was fabulous down to every detail from the hand carved solid wood furniture to the ornate tiles in the bathroom. The toilet and bidet and shower were in one room, the double sinks and giant counter and jacuzzi tub outside of it. The bed was a fantastic King bed, and we even had a balcony! The construction of the room was clearly designed with elegance in mind and built with integrity. Bring your own extension cords though; it is an older building. The Wi-Fi was solid, so bonus! The location is choice as you can just walk everywhere; we didn't need to move our car aside from when we went hiking. They also have a game room that can be reserved and have movie nights! Everything is enhanced by the evening piano playing in the lobby.
Now, let's talk breakfast. The room where they serve breakfast is my new religion. Omelet bar, toast station, oatmeal bar, cereals for days, fresh hot pancakes, egg bites, and sausage, cold fruits, yogurt, and cottage cheese, a real fire in the fireplace as an Alp horn player who is even dressed the part plays on the balcony, and the clouds drift away revealing the gorgeous mountains surrounding the tiny town. I literally could not get enough of that. L i t e r a l l y. I could have spent our whole stay right there.
I know you're thinking of getting a boring traditional hotel like I was. "Why does my husband want to stay at some old place I've never heard of when there's a perfectly fine Hampton Inn right there?" But he was 100000% right. Trust this snob; the Enzian is the best tiny little mountain town hotel you will ever have the privilege...
Read moreEnjoyed a lovely weekend in Leavenworth. We missed staying at our usual location and decided to stay here. The GOOD Room wa standard. Double queen with balcony. Tiny balcony overlooking the parking. Nothing much to do there .. good for selfies with the snow sprinkled mountains 🏔️ behind. Lovely! The bathroom is definitely updated and very lovely.
The lobby smells fabulous with roasted nuts and hot coffee to welcome you along with decorations that set the perfect elevated holiday Spirit.
The 1st and 2nd floor sitting areas are truly great places for family games or a short gathering. We saw children doing homework there too. 😀
The BEST We enjoyed a most delicious breakfast buffet with ample selection. Plenty of space between stations for those with those concerns. Not us. The Belgian street waffles were my first experience with this delectable offering of ridiculous goody-ness.!! Thank you to the chef n all preparers of these treats.. I'll be back for you....
The MISS deduct 1 ⭐ The carpet in the room was nasty. Sorry. No better word fits. The stains of liquid past were everywhere especially by the beds. The odd muddy looking patches by the door scream clean me... I realize tourism money was cut this past 18 months - thanks to our elected officials... However mom always says cleaning doesn't cost money or not as much as you think.
Disclaimer... Parents when your children dishevel the lobby, perhaps clean it up .. or when they wreck the table and floor at breakfast.. perhaps leave a tip for the helpful staff that will pick up eggs and muffin bits off the floor and remove the white table cloths to ready for the next patrons. It's the right thing to...
