If I could give lower than a 1 I would. What a horrible 1st and LAST experience here. First off Evergreen Inn double booked me over the weekend and it was a 1st come 1st serve bases and I wasn't 1st? So I was forced to call around after a 300 mile trip there and find a room at 10 pm. Fairbanks had 1 room open at 180$ The guy behind the desk at night was so rude, he didn't ask if it was OK to copy my card and run it over 10 times for amounts that was not even relevant, and all different, yet he did anyway. He wouldn't accept my fathers visa card over the phone to pay for my room, and did not even care that I was prepaid at evergreen and they had no room for me, he treated me like I was a criminal. And then he said my card didn't go through and I had to pay cash or he was going to call the cops? I was already very frustrated and confused. Then he said he would make an exception to accept my cash? But I had to put down an additional 50$ for some reason. He wasn't even clear on why! Then He lied and said I got a smoking room and a 1bed, and when I got up to room 233 it was a non-smoking room , and it was 2 beds and the front door would not even shut! I had no towels or Shampoo in the room, And all he could say was I'm sorry, in a very rude and short way? I couldn't sleep because I did not feel safe with the door not being able to latch shut, which restricted the emergency lock on the in side of the door from working. So I was uncomfortable with that and when I decided to try to take a bath and relax because there was a group of drunks in the hot tube all night, The bathtub was FULL of someone curly hairs, (So gross)So I had to pass on that too, Then I almost didn't get my deposit back when all I did was sleep a couple hours there? Then when I got home and reviewed my bank statements they had charged my card 139$ that did in fact go through and when i tried calling no one could help me, I left my name and number for the manager and no return call yet 2 days later! I waited in hopes they would refund me or comp me back my money from the horrible and disgusting uncleanliness experience I had to deal with there last weekend, but no one has returned my call, so I am hoping this review will prevent people from trying this hotel in the future! I would not stay here, and I would stay clear of any branches of this company too. They simply steal your money and rip you off. I'm so upset that they are trying to steal more money from me, I am contacting a lawyer today and have notified my bank of the theft. I take 1 vacation a year. ONE. They ruined my 2018 Vacation. Never stay at FairBridge Inn in Leavenworth, Unless you enjoy Broken front doors, dirty rooms and people stealing your money and over...
Read moreThe hotel is not bad . It was clean and the beds were very clean and well maintained. The room we had was on the 3rd floor and it smelled a little like smoke but that was a results of all the forest fires that were in the area . The floor was carpeted and cleaned. The room appeared to had been painted and it was very nice.
The room that my wife and I had did not have a lot of outlets for your computer or other mobile devices which was not a problem but a little annoying. It did have a small desk to sit your computer on , but it did not have the outlets. The hotel did have free WiFi and it was strong, and as matter of fact I am doing this review on it now.
The pool is clean and nothing fancy and it is an indoor pool and it has a hot tub at the north end of the pool. The pool deepest depth is 5 feet at the south end and 3 feet at the north end. Hey it gets you wet and the chlorine was perfect, no red eyes. The pool also had pool towels at the pool. Also as you come into the the pool area off the lobby there is also a exercise room that is very small that has a elliptical and a treadmill.
The breakfast was EXCELLENT. It had 2 waffle makers and two kinds of batter , blueberry and regular. There was sausage, eggs, coffee doughnuts, bottom line you will not go hungry.
The TV in the room was a 52 inch TV and the cable company is Charter . The TV was new and in HD , I was very surprise . The TV was a LG and there are over 100 channels in your room. There is not NETFLIX or VUDU
The bathroom is small but the towels were clean and plentiful
The location of the hotel is walking distance to the main area of Leavenworth which makes it a nice place to stay and to leave the car.
So you might see some bad reviews , this is not one of them . The Hotel is a 2 or 2,5 star hotel. which is not bad It is more than a Hotel 6 and less that a Hilton. It is good for families who want to save some $'s and be close to the action and have a good breakfast.
By the way, in the lobby there is complementary coffee, apple juice and orange juice and a place to just chill out as there is a sitting area to play cards or look at TV. The hotel also has a balcony that you can eat at because the breakfast area is on the 3rd...
Read moreLet me start by saying I would rate a 3.5 if it was possible. This hotel was probably very nice when it was built, which was a long time ago.
If location was one of the biggest upsides to the hotel. Although it was located at the end of the main street, it was easily walking distance to most of the local venues. If you were like us and needed to run to the grocery store the first night, it was still only a mile drive.
The room itself was nice sized, but shows its age. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall, and this was the first hotel I have been in in a long time that doesn't have a shower head that comes off of the wall. The beds were okay, but could used to be replaced. The room was also cleaned, but not all that well. There was dust on the furniture and some dirt in the corner of the bathroom.
The lobby was small but worked for breakfast, which was decent. A normal continental breakfast with decent coffee; not much more to ask for for an included meal. The pool was warm, but the hours were not conducive to having a child who is up early and wants to swim (wasn't open until 9). Also, the "fitness center" was a stair machine and a treadmill, which also weren't available until 9, even though the brochure for the hotel says it was open at 6.
Now for the real downside of the hotel...parking. The parking is 100% not enough for the size of the hotel, and that is only half of it. Either we were there during a weird weekend when no one could park in only one spot, but my guess it is normal there. The bad part is the staff did nothing to help. There was at least a half a dozen cars utilizing two spots both nights, leaving there about 30 spots for the other 100 rooms.
The fact that the hotel was under construction didn't help either, but really, it wasn't noticeable while we were there (minus the entry way). Then again, we were there on the weekend, and they probably only work during the week.
I think this would be a great hotel if they would add parking during...
