Nice place, but... notice how many reviews complain about safety! Today I saw a young woman stop the wave pool and jump in to help a young girl who had gotten tossed out of her inner tube and was struggling to keep her head above water. Hooray! That is what you’re there for! Thank you, unnamed lifeguard heroine! But many other lifeguards were engaged in conversations. A young man left his post as soon as the break whistle blew, before the waves had stopped or the kids had a chance to exit. A middle-aged lifeguard had her daughter hanging from her neck while on duty, barely paying any attention to the pool. More broadly, there are signs that safety of small kids is not a priority for management. The music is turned up so loud, kids can’t hear instructions or warnings from adults. I can’t imagine how a lifeguard would hear a cry for help. The wave pool is really rough. My six-year-old was tossed out of her inner tube at the shallow end and hit her head hard enough that she wanted to leave. I saw a kid slip and fall in the changing area. I’ve been to the JCC pool often and never seen a kid get hurt or a lifeguard slacking off. This place is better for teenagers, not...
Read moreThis place is a fun find - drove about 30 minutes from Westfield! Fun day with the kids but with a few critiques. I was a little disappointed in the "small child play area". There's a large bucket (guessing 50 gallons or so?) that fills up every few minutes and dumps on the kids. Sounds fun but there's an overwhelming amount of water that has a water boarding effect, knocking over small children; putting them at risk for drowning. It frightened my 2 year old!
My older son (6) loved the wave pool and water slides! Wish there would have been small tubes for the lazy river and/or life jacket rental. I drove 30 minutes away and totally forgot my younger kids safety vests (my fault, I know).
My final critique is the "no cooler" policy. I have a gluten and dairy allergy so I had to carry in a cooler with my own lunch. I purchased lunch for my kids but it was all junk (carbs, cheese and sugar). They ended up eating more of the fruit/veggies that I packed vs the pretzel and nachos I purchased.
Overall a fun adventure day! Worth going to but I found it to be more enjoyable (overall)...
Read moreWe arrived Thursday around noon. The park was already pretty crowded at that time. We didn't find any empty poolside lounge chairs, so we settled at a table by the concession stand.
Pros: Affordable, $8 for non-residents of Lebanon. Plenty of parking. Nice selection at the concessions (and pretty affordable too!) The pretzel with cheese and the chili cheese nachos were really tasty. Friendly teenagers working at the entrance and concession window. Food came out immediately upon ordering. Park was nice and clean. Kids loved the lazy river and wave pool. It's not too deep anywhere which just makes it even more kid friendly. Slides were fun for my 9-year-old.
Cons: Very limited number of lounge chairs. Bathrooms were not very clean and were extremely humid and...
