I went today its was ok they charge way too much for tickets and food the it was $12 for a ticket for the first show I was like wow back home it's $7 or cheaper for the first show and the popcorn and sodia was great but they were a lot too $18 for a small popcorn and large Dr pepper its was like Houston prices. The theater was ok I would say its fine for a old theater the picture had the color wrong and the sound kind worked I would have only charge $5 for that kina of exprence you could tell it was not 4k and the movie was letter boxed like old tv I asked the guy working and he said o we dont cover up the bars on the top and the bottom so $12 for a smaller picture I don't know it like of looked like a old 720p tv from years back but we just sat thew it I guess regal doesnt care too much about have a movie theater picture and more of a DVD tv combo thing is what there after. But anyway it was cool it just cost too much the sound was 3 out of 10 I think it sounded like the left speaker was off and the rear were hear and there. It was cool though to go to a movie theater that was like the one I use to go to as a kid back in my town that closed down years ago I dont know if ill be back any time soon it just cost too much for too much compromise all so it looked like the had cool curtins why not use those too why does everthing only have to remind people to wonna go home and wach a tv your at the movies give them the movie and not a DVD combo unit for way...
Read morewe were in town visiting Hodges Garden for mothers day and wanted badly to conclude the day with Guardians of the galaxy vol. 2. so we Googled a local theatre. We drove the 30 min. deeper into Louisiana to this theatre. Right away we noticed the ticket prices were double what we are used to in the Huntsville tx theatre which was surprising considering the small size of this theatre. 10+$'s for an adult and 8+$'s for 3 and up kids. so for my wife and 4 youngins was over 50$'s. I clearly ordered the movie we wanted and paid the kings ransom for the tickets. we went inside to find the concession was way over priced. 6+ $'s for large drink and close to 5 $ for a candy. so 26 $'s later we went to the theatre # the ticket guy sent us too. after 20min. the movie started and lowe and behold it wasn't guardians of the galaxy. I ran up to find the ticket guy and he totally acted like he didn't care. and said "just go to the other movie". I told him I didn't spend 50 bucks to miss the first 20 min of the movie we came to see. he said " either go to the movie, stay in the wrong movie or just "go" with a refund. which is what we did. the guy was a jerk. and since he had on a different shirt than the other folks I'm guessing he was a manager. total bummer to what was a pretty good day.
although the seats were nice, the employees could use more training and surely their price margins are a little steep. they aren't I MAX or...
Read moreAfter a million years of this movie theater being in Leesville and as HIGH as the prices has gotten- you would think that just maybe they would've upgraded this place at some point!
The inside is basic- super small. There is basically 4 little games (wanna be arcade) inside the lobby shoved on the sides in front of the concessions. No room for kids at all IF THEY DID WANT TO SPEND EXTRA MONEY ON GAMES.
The movie areas havent been upgraded since I was a kid. The chairs are probably still the same chairs I sat on at 10yrs old and I'm 38 now. The reader board by the road and on the building is just as ancient. BUT THOSE PRICES FOR THE MOVIE AND CONCESSIONS HAS DEFINITELY UPGRADED. I can see paying these prices in a bigger city such as Lakecharles and Alexandria because the theater is in much better shape. Worth the price, although Leeville cinema 6 IS NOT. OH AND 1 MORE THING- I STOPPED BY THERE YESTERDAY TO VERIFY A TIME, WHICH THE ONLINE DATE AND TIMES DO NOT MATCH THIS THEATER DATE AND TIMES- AND THE SAME MAN WHO WAS RUNNING THE TICKET BOOTHE WAS ALSO IN CONCESSIONS, AND I'M MORE THAN SURE THERE WAS NO HANDWASHING AS HE WAS...
