A Shared Journey to Hair Health and Relaxation at Scalp Facial Lounge
As the owner of a bustling software development company and a father to 8 lively kids, my life is a non-stop carousel of deadlines, client meetings, and weekend soccer games. Self-care had inadvertently slipped to the back burner, evidenced by the sorry state of my scalp and hair. It was my wife who, noticing both our needs for a little personal TLC amidst our hectic schedules, scheduled us a joint appointment at Scalp Facial Lounge in Salt Lake City, UT, under the expertise of Mandie Sue Evans.
From the moment we stepped into Scalp Facial Lounge, it was clear this was not your average hair treatment haven. It felt like we were embarking on a transformative journey together, a rarity given the demands on our time. Mandie's warm welcome and personalized consultation process immediately put us at ease, addressing our individual concerns with the sensitivity and professionalism of someone clearly at the top of her game.
For me, a detailed scalp examination revealed years of neglect — a buildup of dead skin and product that I’d become too busy to notice. My wife, similarly, discovered that her own hair and scalp issues stemmed from easily remediable problems, which Mandie outlined with enthusiasm and deep knowledge. It wasn’t just about providing a service; it was about educating us on the best ways to maintain and improve our scalp health moving forward.
The treatment portion was nothing short of luxurious. As we lay side by side, Mandie and her team worked their magic, removing buildup and stimulating blood flow to promote hair growth. The process, oddly satisfying and deeply effective, was a testament to Mandie’s passion for scalp health and her clients’ wellbeing.
But it was the “heavenly” experience of the scrubs, masks, and massages that truly captured the essence of our visit. In those moments, lost in relaxation and the joy of shared experience, the stresses of work and parenting melted away. My wife, who revels in the rare moments of tranquility, remarked it was one of the most peaceful experiences she’d ever had — a sentiment I wholeheartedly shared.
Leaving Scalp Facial Lounge, we felt rejuvenated. Not only did our scalps feel healthier and our hair look visibly improved, but we also left with a roadmap for maintaining this level of care at home — a boon for two busy professionals.
Reflecting on our visit, it struck me how Mandie’s Scalp Facial Lounge offered us more than just scalp treatments; it provided a rare opportunity for us to pause, reconnect, and indulge in self-care together. As a tech entrepreneur accustomed to a relentless pace, the experience was a poignant reminder of the value of taking time out for health and wellbeing, both individually and as a couple.
Mandie Sue Evans and her Scalp Facial Lounge didn’t just earn two loyal clients in us, but two advocates for the power of shared self-care experiences. We wholeheartedly recommend her services to any couple seeking not only to improve their hair and scalp health but to enjoy a profound moment of relaxation and connection. Five stars out of five for an unparalleled experience that transcended mere treatment, weaving together luxury, education, and the sheer joy of spending quality...
Read moreI usually don’t love to post anything but positive reviews but I feel I need to post this. When I signed up there was confusion on the price. The person who referred me said they have since updated their website to show pricing clearer. It was $300! A lot more than I would have paid if I had known the price. I probably wouldn’t have done it to be honest. But I didn’t know the full price until the day before when I got my confirmation email and by that time it was too late to cancel. During the relaxing part she stopped the massage bed and the roller was stopped high under my lower back and it hurt so bad. I wanted to tell her but she had my arms in the bed and it’s hard to get them out. She had also just put on my eye and lip mask and you CANNOT SEE OR TALK since they fully cover your eyes and mouth. I tried to deal with it for 20 minutes shifting my feet and moving my legs to remove the pressure. It did not help. Finally she saw my squirming so much she took on the mouth and eye mask and asked if I was okay and I said no. By that point the “relaxing portion” was about done. I was so sad I had just wasted $300 for this experience. Her phone also went off during the quiet dark part which I thought was unprofessional. I had seen a lot of reels that made this place seem incredible and I am so disappointed and will not be returning. Just wanted you to know before you go.
Also, the lady who worked with me was very kind and friendly and the massage part would have been heaven if the roller hadn’t stopped where it did. I’m just sad about my experience.
Below is before and afters of my...
Read moreUPDATE After posting my review Mandie the owner of the spa reached out to me to go over the pricing confusion and the miscommunication of my concern. It was all figured out but I do wish that she would have answered my DM's that I had sent her in the very beginning. Needless to say she was very attentive and helped me figure out the miscommunication. But still make sure you do your own due-diligence and get the pricing figured out before hand. So excited to pamper myself with something like this. My scalp therapist was amazing great personality. Just an FYI, call before you schedule appointment to figure out the pricing. I did the bundle package with Root analysis for $495 expecting that was gonna be the full total price I was paying, but once I was done and had to pay the remaining balance after the deposit, which I thought and was described in the email was $340 after the deposit I had to pay an extra $190 for the root analysis. so total pricing with their so-called bundle is not $495 it’s a $685 package. Their pricing is not very clear and when I try to get this figured this out by privately messaging the owner, it took over a week To get a response and the only response I got was “we’ve never had this issue before” I just felt Very misled by their pricing. The scalp facial would’ve been more enjoyable, but the lounge chair that you are in was very uncomfortable and the music was way too loud was not a very calming...
