Dont let the 2 star review fool ya... Their food is absolutely 5 STAR. The 2 star review is for the rude service given. I am a new customer to Costa Vida. I have eaten 4 times with this chain, mostly up in Salt Lake... This Lehi, Utah location is very close to work so I decided to give em a whirl. Upon entry to this location, no one greeted me. I had a time finding where to go... Lol, as I finally found my way... a seemingly nice Mexican (or Latina) lady greeted me very nicely. She was the one who initiates your experience whilst here... I know her intentions were good (at this time), so I kindly told her I hadn't even looked at the menu yet. She stood there and stared at me! Omg how uncomfortable! Finally after mulling over my options and seeing her stare and tap her foot I gave my order. She did a very nice job with portion size (avg) and was very quick. I guess my 45 seconds of pondering the menu choices and 7 seconds of throwing ingredients into a tortilla was really disrupting her day... but she got done and we quickly moved to the next guy. Super nice too! Well, nice than the gal... we sauced and cheesed it up! Once out of the conveyor oven I asked for no salad...wait wait wait...back it up! While it was in the oven, he rang me up. Being new to Costa Vida, idk how things work completely and what costs and what doesn't... so I pay... ok, out of the oven my burrito came, along with ONE burnt chip. K, I asked for no salad, he obliged... then I asked what about my beans and rice? He tells me, oh that's extra... I said this has not been an issue YET at any other Costa Vida. I told him in lieu of the salad I would like a smidge of rice and a scoop of refried beans. He once again said oh that's extra. I immediately came back with, ok what about my credit for no salad then? He said he couldn't do that. Ok, I said since the salad costs...and I opted for no salad, let's put refried beans and rice like I've done at the Costa Vida by my house and never had a problem... he said he can't. Well, here's my complaint! If a customer opts out of a salad, let him have some beans... Now, I will drive to the Draper Costa Vida for lunch today. All over 30 cents worth of beans... way to go kiddie! You lost a very loyal customer who has come to love Costa Vida. We did part ways thinking all was well... Lil Jr had no idea I would be honest in my review of his reluctance to satisfy A PAYING CUSTOMER. I'm disappointed in this Costa Vida. Their food is very, very good tho!!! I do highly...
Read moreAh, Costa Vida, where the waves of flavor crash against the shore of your palate and the pork burritos roll in like a high tide of deliciousness. Let me take you on a culinary surf trip, where the main attraction is, without a doubt, their pork burritos. These aren’t just any burritos; they’re like the unicorn of the fast-casual Mexican food scene - mythical in their perfection and seemingly sprinkled with fairy dust.
First off, the pork inside these burritos must have been slow-cooked by angels, because it's so tender, it practically serenades your taste buds with each bite. It's like the pork decided to take a spa day, emerging rejuvenated and ready to party in your mouth. Wrapped in a tortilla that's as soft as a cloud (and probably handcrafted by nimble tortilla artisans who whisper sweet nothings to the dough), each burrito is a masterpiece.
But let's talk about the ambiance. Stepping into Costa Vida is like being bear-hugged by a fiesta. The colors, the smells, the sizzling sounds - it’s all so inviting. The staff? Imagine your best friend, if your best friend was really good at wrapping burritos and always greeted you with a smile and possibly a high-five.
Attempting to resist their pork burritos is futile. They're like a culinary siren call to your stomach. And the size? Oh, the size! These burritos are so generously proportioned, you might wonder if they're trying to feed you or adopt you. It's a full meal with the promise of leftovers, which, let's be honest, is just a second round of deliciousness.
In conclusion, Costa Vida’s pork burritos are not just food; they're an experience - a delicious hug wrapped in foil. From the first bite to the last, it's a flavor fiesta that leaves you not only satisfied but also a little bit in love. So, hats off to Costa Vida, where the surf's always up, and the burritos always bring the tide of tasty...

OVERVIEW - 3.6 I got roped in to coming here last night because of their app advertising a $5 Smothered Shredded Sweet Pork Burrito.
LOCATION - 5 They actually have a rather decent location there in Thanksgiving Point, which is easily noticed from the side roads and freeway.
PRICE - 3 The price for me is a downer. Even though I paid $5 for the special my wife got the Saturday special on a Wednesday, and had to pay normal retail ($8.99), and then she got a tomatillo sauce on the side which they charged 50 cents for a small little dipping cup. My daughter got a chicken quesadilla. In the end with the "special" it came to close to $20.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 3 My food was delicious, but as I tweeted out earlier this morning, my stomach is in horrible shape, and we won't even describe the current conditions of the restroom.
POINTERS/PERKS - 3 Use the app, if you eat here a few times, you can earn points. I did the math it is close to a dollar per point, and after 50 points you get $4 to use. So last night's meal could have been redeemed after spending $200 at costa vida so about 10 trips...
EMPLOYEES - 4 The employees were friendly. I'm glad that this time they weren't speaking Spanish in front of me. I was able to find out from listening in on one of the conversations that they were having as they were eating, that there was a new guy that his entire shift was washing dishes. Then another reported how they wished that the floors were carpet instead of tile so they could vacuum all the floors and not just the carpets.
Edit: When I said getting roped in, I didn't mean it in a negative tense, sorry for that confusion, and I do not doubt you make your food fresh everyday. Thanks for your response, and I know I'll be back again, regardless of an...
