A quaint, fun little area for a brief visit. It's sad that half of the park was taken away for development of housing and roads close by. There is so much potential here.
The sand dig is a nice front and center for the park. The play areas are really neat. Several fun things to do in a small space.
The Little Library here is a nice touch. Unfortunately, after several visits, we find there are only grown up books and contemporary Christian books and Bibles left here. Only once have I found a single children's book.
There are multiple benches for having a rest. There are multiple picnic tables to make use of. Very little shade in the area, except for trees at the entrance near the benches. Definitely have sunscreen...

I do have to admit it was a very small park but it had a lot of educational information for each play area and a short but nice little nature walk. My son liked it but given it was so small and it seemed to be geared toward children older than 5 because some of the play obstacles were very high or difficult to maneuver we didn't stay long. Overall I think if you have children a little older and that have an interest or are learning about nature and conservation this would be an AWESOME place...

Since my original review, the area surrounding more than half of the park has been clearcut. Other than the young children's small playground, the accessible area of the park (there are some forbidden wetlands beyond the trail's end) is little more than an asphalt road with some trees and a few sitting areas. ...
