I placed a to-go order over the phone at 10:46am this morning. I was told it'd be ready in about 35minutes, possibly a little longer. I was okay with that. I was hoping to get in breakfast before work, and with the time they had quoted me, I would've been able to pick it up, go to work, eat, and have time to spare before having to clock in. I get there at about 11am, let them know my name, and I get told that it's not ready yet (which I figured because I had gotten there early, but was expecting to only wait about 15-20min or so).

After about half an hour, (11:30) I ask the girl at the front if I could go ahead and pay for my food before it was ready just so that I'd be able to leave as soon as I received it since I realized I was about to run a little late for work. She said she'd have to go find the server that took my order. I go back to wait. I didn't want to disturb her much because I could see they were very busy and having been both a cook and a server before, I understand stuff happens and the line gets held up. Whatever. I'm a little late at this point but my manager knows my situation (I am only able to eat one meal a day because of my medication, and it has to be breakfast, so I can't just NOT eat).

It's 11:58, and I'm half an hour late for work at this point. I have never EVER been more than 5min late for work in my life so this was stressing me a bit but again, my manager knows my situation so I knew they wouldn't be mad at me.. but still... I was waiting there for an HOUR. Which is a little ridiculous for only ONE meal and some donuts.

I go back to the girl at the front and I tell her listen, it's been an hour, I just need you to give me an estimate on when this is going to be ready so I know whether I should just leave or not. FINALLY, the employee who had taken my order came out with my food. She said that she was never even told that I was here. She apologized to me, and then also broke the news to me that they were out of donuts. Which was actually the only reason I went in the first place. If I wanted just food, I would've gone somewhere else and then went back to Eggs Up another day that I had more time to actually sit down and eat. I had wanted to get donuts to bring to work to share with my coworkers. So this had me a little upset but of course it wasn't her fault so I don't blame her.

Here's my overall view of the situation. I placed my order at 10:46am, and received my food at 12pm. As someone who works in food service, there is just no world where it is acceptable to have someone wait 1hr15min for ONE meal. However. I am willing to give grace, because this is a new place, and again, stuff happens. Maybe someone calls out, or a server delivers food to the wrong table and the kitchen has to remake the order which can cause a break in their flow. I'm sure that they're still trying to figure stuff out. (But also.. Sunday mornings in Leland are almost ALWAYS busy. There should definitely be more staff scheduled to account for this). And hey, the Baja Chicken Omelet I got was pretty good for the price I paid for it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. If this was an older establishment, this experience would've definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. However, because this place is still new and both the food and the price were appealing, I will definitely be giving this place another shot. The purpose of this review is just to alert management of the situation so that they can brainstorm ways to prevent this from happening in the future. The girl at the front did seem pretty overloaded between seating people and taking care of to-go orders, maybe having 2 people responsible for this instead of 1 during their busier hours would be a good idea. Whatever the case is, I am willing to give Eggs Up another try one day, and if my experience has bettered then, I will take this review down. And hey, if they're hiring, I am very open to working there myself as I am confident in my ability to work both FOH and BOH. Much love (still sad about no donuts...

During my visit to the restaurant, I had the pleasure of being served by Montana , who turned out to be the most wonderful waitress. From the moment I sat down, she greeted me with a warm smile that immediately made me feel welcome. With impressive efficiency, she took my drink order and returned in no time with my beverages, ensuring they were perfectly chilled. When it came time for my meal, she was equally quick and attentive, delivering my food hot and delicious. Throughout my dining experience, Montana was not only prompt but also incredibly friendly, checking in periodically to make sure everything was to my liking. It was clear that she genuinely cared about her customers, making my visit all the more enjoyable. I can't wait to recommend Montana to my friends and family the next time they visit Eggs Up in Leland. From the moment we walked in, her exceptional customer service made us feel welcomed and valued. It was like she genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious—every bite exceeded my expectations. I truly felt like I was enjoying the best service paired with fantastic cuisine! I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Eggs Up for hiring such an exceptional waitress. From the moment I walked in, her warm smile and attentive service made a lasting impression. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of delightful. I truly couldn't have asked for a better person to assist me during my visit.

I had such a fantastic experience overall that I feel compelled to share it with others. I hope that anyone who reads this takes the opportunity to visit Eggs Up and enjoys a meal that is just as wonderful as mine. It’s experiences like these that make dining...

i want to start this review by saying i am a waitress at a brunch restaurant and i can understand that weekends can be stressful. however what we experience was blatant BAD service. My party and I came on a sunday afternoon, it seemed a little busy and we were given a 20-30 min wait. pretty standard for sunday. we got called and we were sat and told someone would be with us in a moment. that moment turned into 10-15 min until someone came and got our drinks; this was only after i notified someone working that we had not been helped. Megan was our waitress, after getting our drinks she took our order. During the time while we waited on our food, we sat with empty drinks for 5-10 minutes, we saw her helping another table, and she walked past and completely ignored our table. we had to wave her down to ask for refills. about 30-45 minutes later we got our food. i was highly underwhelmed by my food. i got the chicken fried steak plate, i was expecting a decent sized portion considering its a little more pricey than other things on the menu. to my surprise, it was a fried hamburger patty, i asked for my eggs scrambled, they were scrambled VERY soft, not at all what i asked for. while we ate, we needed our waitress many times, and we either could not find her; or she would make eye contact with us and continue to not come by our table to check on us. Overall, the food was alright for what it was, but the service i cannot look past. it was lazy serving, and avoidance. Really sad to leave this review since this was my first time eating at Eggs Up Grill. speaking on my behalf, not my parties, but i’m not too sure i will be returning after my experience today. and after speaking to them, i don’t think they...

Decided to try the new breakfast place in Leland since we always see it so packed. When we walked in, there was a sign that said “Please wait to be seated”. There was a waitress, who was our waitress Amanda who just kept looking up at us, but gave no direction. A couple came in behind us and said “I think you can sit yourself”. So we grabbed 2 menus and found a booth. Amanda walks up to us and greets us and grabs our drink order. Eventually we order, since it was our first time we needed a few minutes, but I ordered the Southern Staples and subbed out bacon or sausage for corn beef hash. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. The food came out in a reasonable time and it was fresh and hot. The cornbeef hash I didnt care for, but it tasted homemade and I’m used to it out of the can - so that isn’t the restaurants fault. Everything else was really good. My boyfriend said that the shrimp and grits were bland but other than that, we had no other complaints. I’m giving it a 4/5 due to walking in and the waitress not telling us to seat ourselves and kept looking at us waiting to see what we were going to do. Other than that, we will be back to try other things off the menu.

busy busy busy!!! super happy to have another delicious breakfast spot here in leland. walked in, the host informed us that indoor seating had a wait so we decided to sit outside! our server bailey took our drink and food order, and within 10-15 minutes everything was already out. the cinnamon swirl french toast was SO GOOD and i got bacon and eggs as sides. the bacon was delicious and wasn’t flimsy or reheated like most places. eggs were good. my partner enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, and said they were very good! definitely worth our time and money. shoutout to our server bailey who was very clearly busy, but was still very kind. give those servers some grace as this location is still new and is PACKED with hungry people. y’all are doing great, will be back!

Four of us had brunch here the other day. It was my first time eating at Eggs Up Grill (along with one friend). The place is one large open room, but very noisy due to the coffee machines. The menu had lots of great choices, but I ended up ordering the Chorizo Scrambler ($11.99). It was a very nice portion of eggs, chorizo sausage, diced tomatoes, some nice thick slices of avocado, all topped with a crema. I had the home fries and whole wheat toast. I could have skipped the toast - too much food for me. Service was a little on the slow side due to the place being filled with hungry diners. In fact, by the time we left, there were several people waiting at the door for tables. Our server was very friendly. I'll definitely go back.
