Doyle Field — Attraction in Leominster

I like that Leominster has a track and field here for the general public. It's been that way for many years. They also have tennis courts across the street from the track but you must pay to get access. This is likely either monthly or one year lump sum which you could go to the town/city hall recreational department for access. Probably not too expensive. However, I think there's about 3-5 tennis courts but no basketball court. I rarely see people use the tennis courts. Why not take down one tennis court and add a basketball court? This could bring in a younger or middle aged crowd as well and you'd make more money as a city. This would of course bring more people outside and become more active in that respect. Also, love that they have work out equipment for younger and older individuals, plus a small play park for your kiddos. Also, I think it may be time to fix the track there. I know it's expensive but it'll get to the point where it could become injury central. Overall, love using the track and it's a great place to have fun in the sun and enjoy time with friends...

This is a nice field/park for families to enjoy as well as those looking for a great place to walk and take in the sun. The park/field is well maintained. There is a track (4 laps = 1 mile) as well as an outer path to walk/run (2 laps = 1 mile) as well as a full playground area and small exercise area. The downside is that parents still allow their kids to bring bikes in, even though the sign upon entry says no bicycles ir dogs. Do people listen? Nope. If you're walking, you have to duck and dodge to avoid being hit. The exercise equipment is a nice feature, but again, kids are climbing all over it when the sign says no children on equipment. The adults really can't use it. There is a full playground area that parents can direct their children to if and when the parents are paying attention. It's sad that people are so ignorant. it's a decent park there is fitness equipment for 14 years and up as well as a play structure swings and trail for walking yourself or your furry loved ones. perfect place for a picnic and playtime. across the st is pickle ball and tennis courts. there is also sports fields. definitely a great place to spend an afternoon with a picnic lunch at one of the picnic tables provided by the beautiful city...
