I walk in at 8:40pm on 04/08/2025, and the store closes at 9:00pm. I only had one thing to buy. I needed some oil pastels. It was only going to take about 5 minutes and I was so excited I was in Leominster to satisfy this need to finish my work. I enter the store; immediately one of the two cashiers tell me, âI just want to let you know we close at 9:00pmâ. It put me in such a bad mood. Iâm so sorry that you wish you could stand there and do nothing for 20 minutes, but youâre on payroll and youâre there to make the company money not to stand there and do nothing. Plus, every time Iâm in Michaelâs the cashiers are the least helpful and inattentive workers ever. Why do they even keep them employed? I was asking a cashier last week for some help, she completely ignored me and answered her cell phone and walked away from the registers to take a call on her personal phone. I was at self-checkout and I needed her to delete a double scanned item, but she decided to take a personal call. I had to go to a different self checkout and start over. Letâs talk about how unfriendly these workers are! I donât believe any company wants their workers to make customers feel l unwelcome or that theyâre an inconvenience. I didnât walk in at 8:55pm when they closed at 9:00 pm. I knew exactly wanted and exactly where the item was. I couldâve ordered it on Amazon without the attitude. I donât see they point of keeping employees are not friendly...
Read moreWe got two items custom framed here. One was a gift from years ago that we kept protected and in pristine condition in the box until we were ready to frame to display in our more permeant home. The framing took weeks, but I understood that it's the holidays and busy - so I wasn't concerned. However, upon picking up the items it was obvious they were careless not only with the framing but with the artwork we had trusted them with. The piece of artwork that we kept in pristine condition was bent and now has a large, clearly visible crease. My significant other got this framed for me for Christmas and upon seeing it I was devastated that my beloved artwork was ruined. I no longer want to hang this in our home and we're out a couple hundred dollars and a piece of artwork that was very important to us. Oh, and also the "custom" framing we paid for wasn't even done well. It didn't fit the artwork perfectly - why else do you pay for custom framing?! The other piece artwork was from a flea market and not as sentimental but thankfully they didn't ruin this piece too - they did however do a sloppy job with the framing. It's not laying flat and it bows in the middle. Overall, I'm incredibly disappointed in the carelessness and devastated that they ruined an important piece of artwork we had taken such good care...
Read moreAllison/Ashley helped me when I came in to get boxes because I'm moving. I'm not a regular, I wasn't there to buy anything, and she was clearly busy. I asked her, almost immediately feeling bad to bother her because she was swamped. She told me she needed to finish something to wait for 15 minutes at a certain location in the store. She took a little longer (but I wasn't about to he mad about that as I'm not a paying customer). I was about to leave with some boxes I had someone else help me get (who was also super helpeful!). I past her while I was leaving and she remembered and couldn't stop apologizing and offering further help to me. I wasn't expecting her to care so much. I'm going through a tough time during my move and she went above and beyond after I had found her again. Like I knew, she had been very busy. She felt so terrible for me slipping her mind that she got me tons of other boxes, helped me break them down, got me a cart for them because I was struggling to carry them, and told me she would hold a bunch of boxes for me for the next morning. She was so kind and attentive. I felt like such a bother and she really helped. I hope I got her name right....
